Keiss 21 - know what you mean about the snacks - my DS is diabetic(as well as Coeliac) and we never leave home without a good supply of snacks with us! Next week he has a 4 hour swimming gala that starts at 3.30 & goes on to 7.30pm, so that will be interesting! (Sorry, a bit off topic, I know!)
Anyway hoping for a NSD today but will probably need to get a bit of veg for dinner tomorrow.Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan0 -
Just back from Mr T's and managed to spend £23 instead of £13 as in the budget but I did get extra toiletries that will come in for next week and have enough meat, fish and veggie stuff in the freezer for at least 2 weeks so hopefully next week will be a little shop - never seems to happen though!0

Should have had an NSD yesterday but ended up getting fish and chips for lunch with work colleagues so £2.30 to add to the total.
Going to have a storecupboard weekend and see how much I can produce to eat for the next week without spending pennies. I've already managed muffins, mushrom soup, breadrolls and quiche, I am sure there is tons of others things I could end up with. So I have milk defrosting so that I don't have to go buy any. Will need breakfast cereal though as OH isn't quite the fan of porridge that I am:D
Had the mushroom soup and rolls for lunch, dinner tonight will be the quiche with jacket spuds, lunch tomorrow will be left over Xmas dinner from the freezer - so far the plan is working so far.0 -
Ysterday was supposed to be a NSD but I needed some fabric conditioner. I went into Mr Ms late in the evening and finally found some of those fab 9p whoopsies that I read about so much on here.
So £2.10 spent yesterday. Off to update sig now.DFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt

Nearly there! Managed to avoid going to the shops till this morning amd have spent £43-98 in Sainsbury's, leaving me £62.58 to last to 28th, which even I ought to be able to manage! I won't be declaring before Thursday though as I don't want to tempt fate.
I definitely think that not going to the shops because of the bad weather has helped as I have not been tempted to buy 'bargains'. I have had 14 NSD's this month so far which is an absolute record for me. Just as well as I have been rubbish as meal planning these last few weeks! Must try harder in February.
Off to catch up with the posts. Good luck everyone.

Just popping in to update siggy. Doing OK, but now I come to think about it one son has joined Army but I am still on old budget, so next month will reduce it a bit.Jane 21120

OH complained there was no fruit in the bowl, so decided to go into town to get him some. Also bought some more cooking oil, as running a bit short, and discovered some whoopsied pork steaks, reduced by 25%, so got those too. Plus some spot cleaner for the mark on my new carpet
Altogether, spent £13.20, but had a £5 voucher, so only spent £8.20 in actual cash (still have to count it in the total though, as if I hadnt had it, I would still have had to pay the £13.20). So the new total is £53.62. Not sure why, but I feel disappointed somehow. Maybe I thought we could live on nothing at all for the month ??? Anyway, had more NSDs than spends this week and will do the same next week. Realised I had 6 tins of tuna in the cupboard, so that should keep us going for a while
