You're not serious are you? £300-£400 for something that looks like it's from a very seedy nightclub?!! Give me a £12 Ikea high chair any day!! They do say money doesn't necessarily buy taste dont they! :D

    Jxx

Gosh what an unnecessarily rude remark!

OP I see that you've already decided on your highchair, but for anyone who's looking for something a little different, have a look at the Little Helper Fun Pod Highchair.

It's more than just a highchair and much safer than a kitchen chair in the 'helper' mode. We bought this for our Grandson shortly after he began to sit up and he loves it, especially when his Mummy takes out the chair and he can stand at the side of her when she's baking/cooking/washing-up and 'help'.

Again, it's not cheap, but will last each child up to the age of about 4/5 and will certainly last for more than one child.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Tia - you can buy the Antilop and tray online so no need to go to Ikea! I just ordered one (tray is separate) and it is less than £23 including courier delivery.

Well... sort of... We have to email them the order, then they call us back to get payment. Last time I tried I waited 3 weeks on the call, then when they did call we had went elsewhere and were told we had to email them to cancel the order and I got angry, said some things...

Pain in the bum cos they don't have normal internet ordering for my area, plus, I want to show DH some stuff that I saw too :D

I'm still undecided whether to get the ikea one or the wooden one I want from ebay. Still have time decide so no rush.

just one point about the ikea highchair - i have it and love it for ease of cleaning - space saving etc but my baby is 10 mths old and can climb out of it as there are no shoulder straps just one that goes around waist. No matter how tight you adjust the strap he can still wriggle his little bum out so abit of a pain as you have to keep eyes on him at all times.

  • I made the mistake of getting one of those fold flat ones where the tray pulls up and over the childs head, it was a nightmare. I brought my neice one similar to the first post mamas and papas £10 off ebay and it was ideal. Then for my next neice we got a chair booster with tray that strapped to the dinning chair, was great it felt like she was at the table with us, as she got older we removed the tray and she used it as a booster.

We've took the strap that it comes with out, and put a set of reins on instead to stop her wriggling out of it. http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_265_10751_-1_14054_6561_10001_14054

I can be even ruder to people who take offence by proxy . Did you post the original message? Do you own one of those types of high chairs? Thought not.

Anyway, my post wasn't rude - imo those highchairs do look like something you'd see in a seedy nightclub, therefore aren't very tasteful, therefore the ridiculous amount of money they cost does not guarantee you a tasteful item. Which I would expect for that price.

For your sake I hope you never venture into DT if you think that was "unnecessarily rude":D.

And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end
