    I have finally got to Hobbycraft - looking for the spray that I need so I can do my quilt - and they didnt know what I was talking about - hubby found for me - 3m craft mount repositional adhesive - it says on it patchwork and quilting - please please please say its the right one - it was £9 for 200ml so am hoping so as its 2 1/2 hrs away to return it - got it en route back from the outlaws

    It's ok danemi :D it will be alright for holding the wadding down :D
    It is very expensive though :(
    I had thought of getting some spray for my quilt as I just pin my quilts to death with safety pins but it is a pain having to remove them :(
    Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

    wow you lot have been busy! Pootle Im so proud of you for daring to step out of your comfort zone and make such a fabulous cushion! Well done you!
    Love the bags and must do one for myself but am happy to do a bit of hand stitching for now! Miss Pixie I love the wrapping paper - truely delicious as are the homemade bits n bobs - youre very neat!
    Quilt was finished at about 11.30 last night - by which time could hardly see the stitches, had v sore finger and decided to make myself a scrappy heaxgon throw! Will phot the quilt later but its drying at the mo so not the same col iykwim! Can now understand why it took so long as its massive!! Im really chuffed with it though! I was initally going to quilt more of the top but felt that just doing the larger squares was right and doing more would spoil it...Next two projects on the go! Im going to make stencils to do a trational paper pieced hexagon throw and then will do a quilt for my goddaughter out of the jelly roll I got last year....have already started with a simple 6" square with small block in the middle..
    Her sisters may well be a more complex pattern like this;

    which, in my mind, is beautiful!
    Hope you all have a lovely sunday!

    Your pics of the quilt on the line were goregous! can i ask...do you wash them after you finish the quilts?

    Danemi; I've used that spray it's usually called 505. I found it a huge help with my quilt. If it's not lined up properly it can be repositioned easily. I get mine from Eba* :0) It should be enough for a couple of quilts if not more.

    Hi all

    Maybe a stupid question here, apologies! I want to make something similar to this and I have a zip but it is far too long. Can I cut it down to size?

    I have never cut zips but in this tutorial she mentions cutting the zip if required for this makeup bag

    I do cut zips sometimes but before I do I always sew several times, backwards and forwards about 1" above where I will cut. This 1" allows for me making a small measuring mistake!
