    Quick question please.

When a pattern says to use fleece, can you use wadding instead (I have 2oz stuff)?
Im doing (yet another) bag and it says to use fuseable fleece but I was going to just sew in some wadding instead. Not sure if there is a huge difference.......

Yes its fine to use wadding (usually the same thing) I have in some bags Ive made and they come out ok :D

p.s Danemi, did you get my PM ok? x

Fleece is just another type/name of wadding, it's thicker than interfacing and adds a stiffness.
Fusible fleece bonds to the fabric and doesn't allow movement. It's used in much the same way to add stiffness and keep shape. It is used when applique or embroidery are added as there is no bubbling of the fabric.

I wonder is using wadding with bondaweb might achieve a similar affect?

    I'd stick with wadding. :)

    They are great :)

I had meant to make some of these before so now you've pushed me to definitely make some next weeked. Thank you.

One question though...the tape..do you think bias binding tape would be ok? Otherwise I will have to go out of town to buy anything. What do you use?

Georgie - That's gorgeous. What a clever idea about the brooch.

Thanks, I later had what I thought was a stroke of genious. My daughter used the bag the next day for a gift and I remembered she had some beads with letters on so I added some on the cord to make the recipients name.

daneme1; that bag is cute. I really like the base material, do you have anything else made
in that fabric? What ya going to use it for? Sometimes when you play about with fabric you can get a really happy accident, same as painting!!

mooloo; Are the hearts for you stall in your village, bet they will sell quickly. I have got some lavender drying off to make a lavender pillow/heart (to try and help me sleep better)

I have made some for an order I have and the rest for the stall. I thought the smaller ones may sell on the stall. (I also think that they would make great ornaments for the christmas tree!).

If anyone has scraps to use up, and needs practice on the machine, please think about making some.

I have bookmarked the site. I shall make some out of the softer fabrics between my other stall makes. Humbling.
