  • Hi everyone,

I'm setting myself a quick target today. To clear 25 things today. I bought some clothes yesterday so I think I need to apply the 1 in, so 1 out policy to avoid clutter. Plus when I went to the charity shops near here they seem to have nothing much as far as new stock. So have made a start:

    1. PC bits (freecycle)
    2. Rubbish around PC (bin)
    3. Toiletries (charity)

Right made a start, will report back with more later.
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
:cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!"
Less things. Less stuff. More life.

  • Starting declutter for Sept.,just back off hols ,all washing done (mizzling but blowy so it will dry),it will go to my ironing fairy tomorrow:D
DS arrived yesterday, and stayed overnight, so he put cases/bags up in attic and dug up a few shrubs which tidied the garden.
Persauded him that he would love a large grass-forgot to say it spreads.
Mum came for meal last night which got rid of bits of Chinese meals out of freezer(plus 2 bottles of wine!)
Next challenge is using up foodie bits from store cupb'd and freezer.
DS went back home after lunch, that got rid of apples in a crumble and he took chutneys and Welsh cakes back with him,and a LARGE box of jam, chutney, pickles and odd CD's to DD2.
She WILL be pleased, tho' I did find a jar of mango chutney for her.

On the down side ,with last bags of CS stuff I think I slung out 3 t-shirts that fitted me.

    Bye all

    mrss

And now I'm slightly cheating :p:p as I've put together some toiletries that I will use up this evening as a treat for doing this burst of decluttering.
    22. Crabtree & Evelyn sachet of night cream
    23. Sachet of intensive hair conditioner
    24. Last drops of a Body Shop peppermint foot spray

There - now that feels better. More rubbish gone, stuff for the charity shop and a bit of pampering. :D

  • Well not a huge amount decluttered this weekend...

    1. Standard sized bin liner full of general household rubbish - to dustbin
    2. Small bag general paper rubbish - to recycling bin

Doesn't sound a lot but I have listed 51 items so far on ebay so hoping these will sell and contribute towards my 100 items for september. Should have a few more bits to get rid of today ebay/recycling etc as kids are at school so I can get in their rooms:D

Not much done recently, but I have cleared a pile of paperwork that has been dumped on the lounge unit for a couple of weeks (filed/shredded/recycled), put a couple of t shirts in charity bag, and I've sold 20 of the 84 items I had listed on Ebay, so they will be posted either tomorrow or Wednesday, depending on when the washing machine repair man can come. Although I was hoping to sell more on Ebay, I am pleased with what did go as 6 of the items are quite bulky, so I will get a bit of space when they've gone!

one business suit, 2 pairs sports trousers and 3 summer hats to charity bag - to be taken to Guides later this week

2 x broken toys to bin

    boxes from broken toys recycled

lots of things sorted for NCT sales (there's one next month - yippee!!)

only have bids on 3 things on ebay :(

Am not looking to achieve much this month - it's quite frantic - we were ill for a week, DS2 is at school part time (so lots of to-ing and fro-ing) and I need to view secondary schools with DS1. Add to that a couple of committee meetings, a meeting with the accountant and usual day to day stuff and time has flown by. However, I plan on a bigger challenge for October - a pre-Xmas clear out! :D
