I was at work all weekend so had to leave DH to declutter. 1 black sack of rubbish. 6 full rubble sacks. other stuff (don't know what, apparently car was full but house still is too!).
Today I decluttered the car. I emptied it and cleaned it out completely. Boy did it need it. At present, there are 3 bags of rubbish in the boot to be dumped tomorrow. MiL and I will be loading up both cars tomorrow afternoon and taking them to the tip. If I run out of rubble sacks to be dumped then I shall take some stone from the garden. I have masses of outdoor rubbish too. I also want to get rid of all my green waste. They do collect round here but only if you have a bag and I don't have one :(.
Lounge is a mess as it is full of DD's stuff ready for camp on Wednesday. I had to leave it all out because I painted her initials on all her cutlery/ crockery with nail varnish so it doesn't go walkabout. I'll miss her though.
Shall update tommorrow with what I've managed to achieve. Night all.

Did manage to get a few things done over the weekend, in between helping parents move house.

    In

    Mobile phone charger
    Xbox game

    Out

Four library books (didn't get any more out, as have at least ten to read from my own bookcase!)
Three jumpers, two t-shirts and two books to charity shop
Denim jacket and sunglasses to Mum
Bananas and eggs used up to make banana muffins - first time I have made muffins - very nice, they certainly didn't last very long!

I have been rather neglectful of my decluttering efforts lately (but thankfully the stuff going out is still greater than the stuff coming in) but have set a target of turning my home into a decluttered "showhouse" before the world cup so I can sit and watch the matches without the distraction and guilt of a load of stuff that needs putting away.

Yesterday I went through some paperwork which has not been filed away - the first time in over a month. It's rather scary how much accumulates and spreads about so quickly isn't it  I found loads and loads to throw away and file away. Nice neat slim folder again and no piles of paper around.

I shall be doing a grocery order this week, so today I'm going through my food and laundry/cleaner cupboards.

And then back on to tackling the general house clutter (and there's more than enough of that to keep me busy for the next few weeks :rotfl:)

    Enjoy the week, folks :)

Ok - have started the 100 things to declutter - like Wilf (great idea by the way!).

100 - Boys clothes - have sorted through and given away those that are too small.
99 - Paperwork left lying around has gone.
    98 - dried flowers - binned
97 - birthday cards - gone through, kept those from kids and binned rest.
96 - Old school uniform - passed on to friend.
95 - party bags to guests who couldn't come on Sunday.
    94 - broken dinosaur - what DS1 doesn't know won't hurt him!
93 - School photos distributed to grandparents!
    92 - Old receipts - binned.
91 - Empty jam jars - already have a cupboard full for jam making.
90 - Sticky stars and smiley faces - to playgroup for them to use.

This is good - will keep this up until I've nothing left I think!!!

89 - Load of clothes out of my wardrobe for ebay
    88 - handbag thats wrecked - bin!
87 - waterproof sheets with holes in - binned!

84 - Magazines in post to Mum
83 - Emptied bottles from the shower!
82 - Socks with too many holes in to darn!
81 - Cases out of garage - found DSs birthday present and my birthday cards from my mum inside!
80 - Diet coke as a reward for me!

What am I taking in? Two little boys from school - non stop whirlwinds who eat me out of house and home!!

79 - 8 bin bags of stored left overs from jumble sale
78 - cake tin borrowed from friend
77 - first writing book to friend
76 - book sold on amazon
75 - childs tshirt & necklace left here from party at weekend
74 - curtains to be adjusted by professionals
73 - birthday present for friend
72 - magazine and bits and bobs for a friend

OOPS - I went to the charity shop today and for £17 bought a bin bag of power ranger toys to keep the children quiet with over half term, 6 pairs of boys shorts, 1 boys tshirt and (best of all) a lovely spring suit for me for 50p!!!!! Not kidding :)
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.
