I was at work all weekend so had to leave DH to declutter. 1 black sack of rubbish. 6 full rubble sacks. other stuff (don't know what, apparently car was full but house still is too!).
Today I decluttered the car. I emptied it and cleaned it out completely. Boy did it need it. At present, there are 3 bags of rubbish in the boot to be dumped tomorrow. MiL and I will be loading up both cars tomorrow afternoon and taking them to the tip. If I run out of rubble sacks to be dumped then I shall take some stone from the garden. I have masses of outdoor rubbish too. I also want to get rid of all my green waste. They do collect round here but only if you have a bag and I don't have one.
Lounge is a mess as it is full of DD's stuff ready for camp on Wednesday. I had to leave it all out because I painted her initials on all her cutlery/ crockery with nail varnish so it doesn't go walkabout. I'll miss her though.
Shall update tommorrow with what I've managed to achieve. Did manage to get a few things done over the weekend, in between helping parents move house.
In
Mobile phone charger
Xbox game
Out
Four library books (didn't get any more out, as have at least ten to read from my own bookcase!)
Three jumpers, two t-shirts and two books to charity shop
Denim jacket and sunglasses to Mum
Bananas and eggs used up to make banana muffins - first time I have made muffins - very nice, they certainly didn't last very long!0 -
I have been rather neglectful of my decluttering efforts lately (but thankfully the stuff going out is still greater than the stuff coming in) but have set a target of turning my home into a decluttered "showhouse" before the world cup so I can sit and watch the matches without the distraction and guilt of a load of stuff that needs putting away.
Yesterday I went through some paperwork which has not been filed away - the first time in over a month. It's rather scary how much accumulates and spreads about so quickly isn't it  I found loads and loads to throw away and file away. Nice neat slim folder again and no piles of paper around.
I shall be doing a grocery order this week, so today I'm going through my food and laundry/cleaner cupboards.
And then back on to tackling the general house clutter (and there's more than enough of that to keep me busy for the next few weeks :rotfl:)
Enjoy the week, folksretirement savings target: £100,000 by 2032 start: £21200 Jun 22, Jun 23:0 -
