    IN
    one letter

    OUT
6 black bin bags to dump
2 black bin bags to charity shop

I've been working in the attic, there's still boxes of toys(knex, lego, bionicle and wooden trains and tracks). I'm finding it hard to dispose of these as they could be kept for grandchildren, which could be 5-10 years away. They belonged to my son,15yo, who also has difficulty parting with "stuff".

I would keep the wooden train sets and the lego and knex. I'm not sure what bionicle is but I know that my children and my niece and nephews really love playing with the lego and train sets which belonged to their parents and aunts and uncles. I got rid of DS's wooden train set as our loft isn't accessible so I couldn't put it up there. We will soon be getting a decent loft hatch put up so that we can actually get up into it. That'll be fab because then I will be able to store tool boxes etc up there and most of our clutter will be gone!

Hello all - can I join in with the decluttering too? I am due to move house shortly and will be downsizing, so a good incentive to declutter!

Last week I put all my paperwork into concertina files, so everything is easy to find or file when it comes in the door (the shredder is also near the door for instead post disposal).

After reading this thread last night I've filled one charity sack with clothes (trying to get three by Friday when they collect) and one bin bag 2/3 full of clothes recycling. I have a whole spare room full of 'stuff' to sort out, but I'm starting with the clothes for now.

7 bags to the bin already this morning, 2 of which were pending from last night

Also, an archive box full of CD singles to the bin as the charity shops here asked me to stop bringing them in!!

Pending out: Another 200-odd CD singles to the bin later.
3 DVDs and 2 CD albums so far to go to CEX

Too late for that: 976 CD singles have been binned; my entire CD single collection save for a few I want to keep as collectors' items.

Besides, everyone from Freecyle has always let me down by not showing up when arranged for their stuff so I can't be bothered and I don't have the time any more.
