I'm joining in too. Started yesterday with the spare bedroom which was unusable as a bedroom because it was full to brimming with junk, so
OUT- went 4 bags of assorted charity shop stuff (clothes, toys, books, small electrical items), 6 bags of complete rubbish, some to the tip, some to recycling (cardboard and paper)
IN - went the vacuum (temporarily) lol.

Today I'm going to attack the contents of several carrier bags full of paperwork that needs sorting/filing/recycling.
I never used to be a hoarder, don't know how I became one, but I'm going to stop being one (I hope)

-loads of bargain presents for the year.rather than doing my usual'buy loads and end up with a crate full and nothing specific' I have bought for each person and got some great bargains which they will love and for half of my specified presents budget for the year : )
    - a new bag for me bought by someone else which is even better!
-some bubblewrap and jiffy envelopes for ebay parcels
    -sent some ebay parcels

    -recycling - pending collection monday
-bag of clothes for a friend for hand-me-downs from mine to her children
-christmas tree and decs to the loft
-ebay parcels for the post office monday

Had an organised day as vacummed the house top to bottom! which is unusual for me! then taken all the christmas decs down as they were annoying me! I tackled my daughters room yesterday and got a bag for charity and a bag for the bin so cant wait to start on my room! will be more than one bag that goes to the bin!

  • I'd like to join in please :j I'm intending to attack one drawer, or cupboard, or shelf each week. It'll probably take most of the year, but will declutter lots :j I'm starting with a list of places (as I won't get any actual decluttering done until I have the house to myself next week :p )

Nothing - being snowed in has its uses.

    OUT
Half a box of chocolates. ;)

    PENDING
Four lots ending on ebay tonight.

I'm going to try to recycle some packaging when I wrap my ebay parcels so that will be some more clutter gone. I'm thinking of selling books on Green Metropolis so I need to look into that really.

Still thinking about tackling the Cupboard of Doom.

Only a bit of an online declutter today, made some additions and subtractions to the blog's sidebar and started clearing through old saved emails.

We were up at 6am, our dog was having a stroke so been keeping near to her today. She's doing remarkably well as she is nearly 16, but didn't want to stray to far from her side :( May not get to proper decluttering until next week depending on how she does.

Not a thing! I agree MissKay, being snowed in does have some advantages!

    OUT

Large black bag of junk, 3 old pillows, an old pair of trainers, some icky old hair gel and some plastic packaging from christmas presents.

I also sorted out my 2 underware drawers and have got rid of what no longer fits. The good stuff i put in the charity bag pile and the tatty stuff went in the bin.
