Well my aim of '30' items by tonight hasn't gone completely to plan, although I suppose it depends how I count it!
I was going to sort a lot of stuff on Wednesday afternoon, but sadly my dad came to help me build my new drawers and hit his finger VERY hard with a hammer, so we spent the afternoon at the hospital. He's ok, but the bones in the end of his finger are mashed and he's lucky he didn't lose the fingertip. Eek!!
Anyway!
In:
1) Halloween DVD from carboot - £2
2) The Hannibal Lecter Omnibus book - 20p!(free actually, my dad bought it for me)
3) Catalogue from somewhere I used to work, not impressed as they fired me and I never asked to be on their mailing list anyway
Out:
1) Packaging from drawers
2) Carrier bag full of 'old' underwear - some i'd never worn, what a waste
3) 2 x old towels
4) 1 x pair of shoes (heels knackered and they smell...well, they did)
5) 1 x pair of boots (knackered, hole in sole!!)
6) 2 x cardboard boxes
7) Catalogue from earlier 'in'
8) Bag of shredded paper
9) Bag of old paperwork (I went on a cruise at the end of '08 and kept all the menus - all now scanned onto PC, so originals have gone!)
10) Bag of fancy dress clothes
11) An old shirt and dressing gown
All of the above went to the recycling banks down the road.
12) 2 x bags of bits to charity shop
That's it for now. Unfortunately my local tip/recycling centre is only open over the weekend, so I didn't have a chance to visit. I have a few bits to take so will plan to go next Saturday as it's a bank holiday.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Afternoon ladies....
mineallmine I took the batteries to the recycling area at the tip so made sure I was being green
purplevamp i too thought your cupcakes were lovely!
Yay, that's great inaminute. Sorry if it seemed like a nag. Am SO embarrassed about the number of batteries I've got rid of over the years, really glad there are recycling facilitities for them now. :A I asked my loved one, in a way not unlike a 5 year child, so HOW do they recycle them. He said, I think it's more about getting the dangerous chemicals out of them. So there you go.
Purplevamp, the cup cakes are on you!
And for the lovely mum who'se daugher is gibble, don't worry about the meaning according to the internet. Your daughter probably loves being called that and it's a family thing, so hey who else needs to know. :ADeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
