Definitely! You should be expecting an apology, bunch of flowers, bottle of wine, chocs etc for the disturbance, and an offer to fix it! If you don't get those, I'd consider saying he can't stay overnight if he's going to disrupt the household.

and well done to her for chucking him out - or trying to...

  • You see I can't understand the David Tennant thing, saw him on the Alan Carr show last night and thought "he seems a nice man" but that was it!
On a flying note I have de-cluttered a beer!! Cheers
    And emptied a bin
And had a mum to daughter talk with Dh involved aswell
Deary me - at least our life is never boring - bring on the boring!
I understand Jinky - but he needs to learn a lesson as well
Valli - he would never touch her, he's a gentle giant normally and he knows DH, her dad and her uncle (who he adolises as has gone shooting with since a small age) would kne$cap him at the very least. Thats the good/bad thing about a small village!!!

  • carlsberggal sorry but I am with valli on this. Any sign of violence is a warning sign, now it may be a one-off and he may have learned his lesson, but greenbee has this right, if he is any kind of man, he will be mortified however he was provoked (or not) and will be enormously willing to offer to make amends, never mind you asking him to.

Triker you are a lovely, kind person and doubtless made the woman's day.

Have scrubbed clean two small sickly people, and put a load of washing on now I can dry it. Mindful that I must have an empty ironing basket for new year.

Lemon Cream is made and chilling in the fridge to intensify for a day or so with the big help from my marvellous Kenwood Chef which is my favourite kitchen helper :D Also made the onion gravy ready to reheat for tomorrow. Tasted mega nice :D

Made macaroni cheese for tea with left over ham in there from Christmas so all that is now gone apart from cheese. All pots washed up flying wise.

CBA to do anymore today and will do the list tomorrow and tomorrow's list too to keep up.

On New Year's Day will check the weather and see about a walk or take a wardrobe down out of the spare room to make a start of clearing there ready for decorating

Big hug to L-L, MSD, Toots hope you all feel ok today and wishing you all the best for this New Year and Poppy too for your recent trauma

I've finally completed one of the things on my work list  I should have been able to do a LOT more :o. I'm sure I'll get more done when the deadlines start coming round :D. I really must start trying to be a bit more disciplined from next week...

Off to find some supper (goose stew, rice, spinach). I think i'll eat it in front of the fire and read a book... and maybe write a thank you letter or two...

....... and bought the lovely shop assistant, who gave me her spare receipt, a bunch of flowers as a massive THANK YOU for her kindness.

She was really taken aback and chuffed so I'm glad I made the effort to be thoughtful.:D that was a very thoughtful thing to do - bless you

Toots, yep, you're right, awful aren't there, blooming coldsores, mine came about after I had a huge meltdown the other day....it was a biggie...:o. Hope you are ok hun. We were going to head to P at New Year for our NY party, we always tend to go up there and I was going to see if we could meet....but :(, we're not going now due to weather conditions.

We stay near the airfield, is that near you?
Triker yes its not far - about 5 miles from me I think - depending on which side of the airfield you are of course:o that would have been great but the roads hereabouts are appalling and the forecast is not good. I am sure there will be other opportunities.

my tea has been eaten and now I am going to put the DW on and do more stars and then try to get something done with the leftover pressies, paper etc
    toots xx
    Peace will be mine

Not been 2 bad the last couple of days. Done quite a few of each day's list but will get the rest done tomorrow when I'm home all day.
Today I have done HHI x 1 now going to bath the kids then do another one.
From tonight I will make sure everywhere is cleared down and ready for the next day, makes it much nicer to get up to.
