  • Thank you! I never even thought about HHE - doh! Gonna have a very long HHE after tea - hubby has a friend coming over who is petrified of dogs so I thought it would be a good opportunity to take them out.

Flying wise......last bit of 2009 washing is being dried! and I have a list all ready to do tommorrow plus the Thursday list.

Oh, have decluttered quite a bit of chocolate too.........
If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T
    I'm not short - I'm condensed awesome! :p
  • If your bored - clear out something you have been putting off!! Says me that will do anything rather than that!!!
Toots - you are a hard task master!!!!! Will only have a small wash between now and tomorrow as DD1 does her own washing - I'm a hard mare at times but she is nearly 20 for goodness sake

Ok - dilema - DD1 and her boyfriend fell out last night, I went to the loo at 12.30 am to hear them arguing, shes's saying "get out of my house" (it's MINE actually!!! LOL) and he's saying "that's right don't discuss, just say that, your evil" 15 mins of peace and quiet and then DD1 comes in and says "he's broken my wall" I say "!!!!!!?" and go and see, he's hit the wall and dinted it and knocked the plaster off in his frustration!!!!! I try and calm things down, but doesn't work so I said to James he'd better leave and went downstairs and let him out. Now it's something and nowt because of what someone aledgedly (SP) texted and it's all been cleared up. BUT, do we tell him (when he calls after training tonight) he has to mend the wall and paint it again? He's not known to be like this at all (I've known his mum and dad 25 and odd years) and ever since he was a baby, but he is a BIG boy, plays rugby for Yorkshire and another club and has some muscle to do the damage he's done. So what do you think; should we say he mends as his penance?

Definitely! You should be expecting an apology, bunch of flowers, bottle of wine, chocs etc for the disturbance, and an offer to fix it! If you don't get those, I'd consider saying he can't stay overnight if he's going to disrupt the household.

Can you tell I'm trying to avoid doing any work? :p

Poohbear interesting concept. I was actually considering starting him later (January) because he only went into nursery this September and he’ll only be 4. I think its a bit early for him and I have been worried-so this might be the best for all of us.
3 pages I had to read since I left :rotfl:Ive come home with a headache, a sore throat, bleeding gums and a sore back. I want to at least get the nightstand done tonight and Ill concentrate on the rest in the moning. The kitchen is spotless though so my dailies have been done.

carlsberggal I would either suggest that does it or that he helps whoever would have to put it right. He damaged it and must know you won't stand for damage being done in your home. I have asked for damage to be repaired in the past and then it was worse!! Purely because they didn't have a clue about how to put it right. It does seem totally out of character so he will probably be quite embarrassed and want to put it right. Good luck!

Flying wise I am still sorting out spare room as DS3 has been using it and has gone AWOL and when he comes back he is in serious bother!!

  • Have filled in my new calender - does that consist as flying?
Greenbee - I know he will be mortified when he comes here, just a case of how much punishment do I/we dole out? He said last night he'd pay for it - but to be fair I COULD do it even without DH but it's the principle. He's a lovely lad and takes all my ribbing in the gesture it's intended, but I don't want a night like that again, I couldn't sleep for worrying about both of them

Good idea to start him later, we did that with DS3. Actually he started when he was four but after three weeks we took him out and sent him back the following September.

You sound like you are doing too much. Put your feet up, you seem like you are fighting a cold or something. The nightstand will be there tomorrow. Well done on the spotless kitchen, mine is already deteriorating. I do have 19, 21 and 23 yr old home [STRIKE]to make a mess/[/STRIKE]for the holiday. And a 40 something brother arriving sometime tonight.

I think if he has already said he would pay for then, then he does feel sorry anyway. I think this time I would just leave it at an apology and a promise never to do anything like that again;)

  • rosepink you can get teeny tiny and cheap dehumidifiers for cupboards, failing that, what about begging silica gel sachets from anyone you know with a handbag/shoe habit, and keeping them in there?

I'm pleased with the flying I've done today - don't think I reported back after 2nd HHC, basically I was tidying LR floor. I pulled out the sofa and found the camera, yay! :T

I really must wash up this evening though, so it doesn't get too bad out there again.
