I wish I was a teenager again. I have two t shirts, and three jumpers on. The (not very good) central heating is on, plus the wood burner is on at full capacity. I still have blue fingers but the teenagers are just wearing t shirts. It is SO unfair. Humph.

I had a little wander around outside earlier for the first time since the snow. I have in flower lots of helebores (singles and doubles), a couple of roses, viburnum, a witch hazel and some primroses. Lots of promising signs of bulbs and fat buds on the camelias, azaleas, rhodos, magnolia, daphnes, etc. I can feel my gardening mojo coming back. So much so that I read Gardeners World on the snug sofa for most of the afternoon rather than clean or tidy. No one else here is doing anything so why should I?

I must get on with something, such a waste of a week off otherwise. Just going to finish my cup of tea and find todays list.

ETA I will join you Hypno.

I was doing well with my flying til my parents called and asked me out to lunch:p Went out just as the snow came down thick and fast so the drive into town was a little hairy:eek: Had a nice lunch at Harvey Nichols though so it was worth it. Had a wander round the sales afterwards but didnt buy anything.

I have managed to do about 45 mins of studying so far. OH rang earlier to say his brothers were stopping in for a cuppa so I had a quick dash to tidy the presents away. They have just left...4 hours later  It was nice but has set me back in the study department. CBA so going to get going in a bit after I have kicked myself up the bum.

I need to go running but there is too much snow about

Woohoo! I've finally caught up with the thread after a couple of days of not going online.

One thing that needs doing is this though after reading all of your posts:
friends-067.gifLots of you seem to be going through tough times at the moment. Here's keeping fingers crossed that the new year will bring some happiness to you all, and your luck will turn around.

In the last couple of days I've been doing lots of shopping. Went to Southampton on Sunday and didn't buy much at all - just some new pillows, and then yesterday I went to a couple of places with OH and bought lots of prizes for my prize bag at school as stocks were getting low, some present labels for Christmas pressies that were reduced in the sales, a book on space (our next topic at school), a new hairdryer from Boots (a Mark Hill one that was half price), and we managed to exchange one of OH's Christmas tops for a bigger size.

Went into town today as this fruit toast addict hasn't had any for a while as Starbucks had run out 2 days running when I went, so managed to get the last two portions today. I should take out shares in Starbucks at this rate! lol Also managed to go to the bank and order a new card as the chip on my one is playing up again (this'll be the third card I've had cos of this problem), and I've opened yet another account with them too to hold some money before it can go in an ISA in April. For those of you who weren't aware, the ISA allowance is going up to £5100 in April.

Well I expect most of you have already done most of the lists for today and yesterday, but for those who haven't yet, would anyone be interested in a HHC 4.30-5?

I'm off to put a load of washing in the machine and put some dry washing away. Also want to strip the bed and make it with the new pillows I've bought, as woke up with terrible neck ache this morning as my top pillows are so rubbish.

Will be back at 4.30 to start the HHC.

Hugs and love to you all,

    sexymouse xx

PS LadyL, if you want a real-life hug and chat, I'm here if you need me. We could even get some fruit toast in starbucks! lol :rotfl:

Have done the bathroom in my HHC, so I feel comfortable now about having someone to stay :D

DS has promised he will cycle up to the bottle bank in the morning for me.

I am really glad I have this week off - the house certainly wouldn't have got this sort of attention if I was fitting it round normal working hours, and hopefully by the time I do go back to work on Monday, it will be a whole lot easier to keep on top of.

My car is off the road at the mo, and I could really do with going to the tip - our next black bin collection is not until 4th Jan, the last one having been on 17th December, and I have soooo much rubbish to go. I may have to find a space for it in the garage until I can get my car sorted, but the question is, does such a space even exist :o
