    Evening all

Poppy - thanks for the info so far

Soappie's definition of KH - a phrase beginning with knob and ending in head...

just for those who may still be unsure....

    Jo
    - re the condensed milk. Yes, you can make it, but I wouldn't bother. How about just making a thick custard (custard powder sort is fine!), slice the bananas into it whilst it's still warm and runny and then pour into the flan case. Your very own banana and custard pie!

Well, one and a half more blokes dealt with. I've also sourced a local publisher who I will get in touch with over the weekend (they have already done one or two local history books so I'll see what deal they can come up with).

Have also arranged a meeting with a local newspaper reporter who got in touch today. Rach - this'll tickle you - that community initiative we sat on together - well, seems certain people have been stirring up stories about how the money was badly spent. Seems the journalist is getting in touch with people involved in it to get their views. He's coming out Tues afternoon. I shall toe the party line and make sure he has a balanced rather than sensationalist and squealing of corruption view!

Have just opened a bottle of bubbly to see the New Year's Eve in with and am now going to root around the freezer for something for dinner.

Flying wise, I've loaded the DW but have yet to put it on

When I threw out OH 1 all my family said they'd got their Valli back
(well obv. they used my real name ;))

Why did I succumb to someone else's domination I will never know. That's why, I supose, when KH sarted being a KH I warned him what would happen if he carried on. It carried on. End of No2.

But AFAI am concerned life's too short...

I raise a glass to all my friends - on here and IRL tonight...

    *cheers*

(well in a bit. Just decluttering the handbag ;)

I have filled my glass with wine to raise it to all the Flyladies who supported me through the last year.

My year started off badly with 2 car accidents then the relationship ending issues and the bereavement counselling

All the friendship and support on here helped me more than I ever imagined.

Now it is at the end of the year I am ready to say ta ta to it and goodbye and welcome in a New Year.
Wishing all the Flyers a healthy and happy and prosperous New Year!
What would I have done without you all - house in order, regimented cleaning easy now! Decluttering away - miles away from where I was a year ago.

Feeling a positive and happy New Year is on it's way with the New Moon!

So here I go, raise a glass and say Cheers to you all!

  • Ironing challenge completed!!!!!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

I have an empty ironing basket now. DH said that his Grandma would be proud. Apparently she used to say if you start the new year with no ironing then it'll be clear for the year. Hope its true!

Anyway, we're off to SIL's for the night so Happy New Year to everyone here. xxx

Ben does that too despite being well fed. I did some research on it and it is something to do with the high fat content - the equiv of chocolate for dogs apparently. Disgusting! We swapped for a covered litter tray from Argos which helped a lot.

Littles are in the bath ready for bed with the second half of the bath bomb. We may have over done the dye .

She's done since a puppy! I didn't know about the covered litter trays. I'll look into that.

Hex aww bless him, mine eats all kinds of horrors inc bunny poo which is his favourite!
fedup watching you go through it has been both heart breaking & inspiring to see you come through such a hard year, cheers honey x

Turning points, mine was being diagnosed with the liver tumours in 2001, they thought they were malignant initially which was scary (so scary I legged it from the hospital) eventually they found out they were not so I felt like I had been given a second chance. Bull by both horns and all that jazz. I must keep remembering this when BD arrives at my door & to send him packing.

Widow twanky popping back in, TD/WM switch done again. Boys tea is in, they had bacon butties mid afternoon so were not hungry. I've found some pre made susage rolls but a month or so past BB date so I might end up cooking more.

DP keeps getting stuck in traffic of people trying to get about in the snow so think he might pop home for a bit. Some people just don't know how to drive in snow.
One day I might be more organised...........

Tag we have this one , it lives under the table with the door six inches from a wall so he can't get his face in. Sounds grim but I know it works because his 'depositis' in the garden are no longer full of cat litter *vomits*

Littles have gone to bed, can I slope off with a book now? The joy of living with someone who understands why reading is essential cannot be underestimated. I must have been mad the first time!

Froddington - woohoo re the ironing!

Lil me- a very sobering concern - no pun intended. Is that why you rarely drink?
