    I want to know if I can count yesterday as an NSD? Due to electricity problems at home the leccy board told me that I could claim £10 off them for a hot meal and a hot drink so I could only spend £4 - I will be getting the money back which is why I am wondering about the NSD.

    Definitely had an NSD today though.
    I'm verging toward the NSD as it was exceptional circumstances, regardless of making a bit of money too. Part of me also wants to say "Shall we scrap the little spends cuz of the weather" but then I want to blow a raspberry cuz you haven't got a food mountain hiding in your larders like all good msers should :rotfl: As I keep saying, it really is up to you how you define a Spend Day but in all honesty, with this very difficult weather & shopping situation, I think we just need to do what we can to get by & if we manage to hit whichever targets we are aiming for along the way..bonus! If not, we made a damned good effort!

    Aww..don't fret--I have them ALL the time :o And I'm up at silly o'clock cuz Pup was fretting & I thought he wanted to go out; hence me sitting downstairs in my coat cuz the heating will come on in a bit & HE'S laying across the warm bit of my bed!

    Off now to look at the 2010 budget planning. Every 1 or 2 year I start one for a few months and put it aside. Let's see how I fare this year
    You & me both Karom :o altho I've not tried an annual budget before. I gave the Grocery Challenge a go from Aug last year but kept fiddling with what I would include/ exclude as a grocery spend & completely confoozed mesen confused-smiley-010.gif

    Methinks a spending day today to get to a shop I like to support, providing a) the roads are clear enough; b) I don't fall asleep & c) I can convince myself I really want to go out...I feel very hermital & cozy at the mo, so just call me Crabbit :D

  • NSD for yesterday, plus a nice sparkly bathroom and kitchen and hall area :D

    I have a docs appointment in half an hour, will be leaving my purse at home so I'm not tempted to go shopping for 'bits', before doing this challenge I'd have thought nothing of taking my purse with me and using it as an excuse to go shopping seeing as I was out of the house anyway, I must be a changed woman!

    Unfortunately not a NSD for me, in the post this morning was a letter from DVLA, hubby has to have a medical to renew his LGV licence. I rang our GP to make an appointment, only to be told the cost of the medical will be £117 :eek:. This had to be paid at the time of making the appointment too. :mad:. I know he has to have this to be able to do his job but we hadnt budgeted for it this month otherwise it wouldnt have been a problem, but never mind its paid for now. Medicals used to be every 10 years but apparently it changed to every 5 years so whilst we knew it would have to be done, we just werent expecting it just yet, also DVLA have only given us 4 weeks notice. Never mind, these things are sent to try us. :rolleyes:

    Wow! I'm shocked how much you have to pay for a medical! I naively would have assumed it was free :eek:
    Feel a bit sick at the moment.......I've just eaten the BIL's birthday present...for the 2nd time. So am going to have to re-buy it again. Don't think I'll bother with Thorntons...will get him a voucher for B&Q

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I've been there lol ....

    I've just popped in for a catch up, it should be a NSD today but I'll edit later to confirm :D
  • Hi all!

    Managed another NSD yesterday but won't today as I need to go grocery shopping. Would have been able to put it off a bit longer but totally out of dog food! Ah well....

    So, now at 6/10 NSD's so far :D

    I've brought my lunch to work again today so it'll be another nsd for me. I need a couple of things but going to wait until tomorrow as it won't be a nsd anyway so why ruin two days :D
