I'm okay if I type slowly and don't knock the raw bits where nail should be!!!
I've walloped Teflon Tuff Extra Strength Nail Protector all over the stumps (found in the back of a drawer from about 10 years ago - thank goodness I throw nothing away), so at least they're shiny stumps - and hopefully this will prevent anymore nails from cracking in half!

    Hello fellow frugalteers
Feel a bit sick at the moment.......I've just eaten the BIL's birthday present...for the 2nd time. So am going to have to re-buy it again. Don't think I'll bother with Thorntons...will get him a voucher for B&Q

    curlygirl,

Ha-ha, I love your user name solvetsoon - that would've worked on my nails too!!

They're healing nicely, and not very nippy at all now ....my nails grow majorly fast (as does my hair), so in about a weeks time, they'll have grown over the raw bits. I think I've still got one more split (middle finger, right hand) to still happen, but I'm hoping if I can keep it tefloned enough it might grow out, or at least get to near the end before going.

I'm going for a NSD again today, but won't post up until its bin achieved.

Was meant to be a petrol day today - but am WAH (am having a 10 min stop as brain like mashed potato!!) which has saved me a tenner in travelling costs! Still desperate for fuel, so will be tomorrow instead!

    Hope everyone's good x

  • Hi all. Having a brilliant day today and it's not even a NSD day for me!! reason 1, its our 8th copper wedding anniversary, we each only managed to go out yesterday to get cards as weather so bad, but had plenty of hugs and kisses so that'll do me!! reason 2, finally paid off last of next catalogue, no more buying anything in less i pay for it straight away, so only got o/d to deal with now!! plan to have that gone for my b'day, middle of july at the latest!! and final reason 3, we get £500 per year off parents and grandparents to buy presents for all 5 of us over the year, so all goes in holiday pot and we just get kids little things off them out of weekly budget when needed, and we got that today!! wow my sig will look good in a bit. Off to change it now and make hubby cuppa, he's just come in for his lunch!!
Loving life to the full, just need purse full too :)

  • I was going great gun for another nsd yesterday until my train was cancelled and I had to cough up an extra 4.15 to go via the alternative route - I was fuming! Anyway, I appear to have succeeded in having a NSD today. I will just have to try harder to recoup the lost day.

yep, managed 5th nsd today yay
  • Declaring NSD for today as well, am flu-jabbed up and waiting for the sniffles and sneezes which will no doubt come, but so far so good.

Somewhere between last night and today all the ice at the back of the fridge has decided to defrost and drip all over, so me and OH just had enormous fun whacking what remained with a hammer. I kind of wish I had taken a pic of it, it was hanging off the shelves in icicles and looked quite pretty (or maybe I need to get out more :rotfl:) My fridge looks like it has about 30% more room in it as well :D

So thanks to my fridge and messy spare room I haven't had a chance to spend today...so hello to NSD 9. :)
