Sorry I've just come back to this!! I'm just back at work today! Please could you confirm my 10!

The rest of this month is going to very tight! have had my hubby home for 2 weeks and have spent quite a bit. Also I am having my wood burner and chimney fixed and am having to keep the money for that aside (otherwise I'd be ok) and determined to pay for it myself and not have to ask my emergency fund of Dad! Fingers crossed!

Hope you all had a lovely xmas and new year and all the best for 2010. I'm feeling good about this year financially after doing so well at the end of last year. Have had my DMP review and shaved off 8 months from my DFD! Gotta be happy about that!

  • Hi All

I can't believe how well we are all doing.

I didn't manage any NSDs over the weekend but am hoping to get to at least halfway to my target this week. Mainly because I can't afford anything x

Unfortunately not a NSD for me, in the post this morning was a letter from DVLA, hubby has to have a medical to renew his LGV licence. I rang our GP to make an appointment, only to be told the cost of the medical will be £117 . This had to be paid at the time of making the appointment too.. I know he has to have this to be able to do his job but we hadnt budgeted for it this month otherwise it wouldnt have been a problem, but never mind its paid for now. Medicals used to be every 10 years but apparently it changed to every 5 years so whilst we knew it would have to be done, we just werent expecting it just yet, also DVLA have only given us 4 weeks notice. Never mind, these things are sent to try us.

Nsd number 9 for me today :) The OH put fuel in the car since he used it all up yesterday and while he was at it bought me a nice hot pasty for my lunch :D

After work it'll be straight home to get sorting through more stuff to ebay.

I want to know if I can count yesterday as an NSD? Due to electricity problems at home the leccy board told me that I could claim £10 off them for a hot meal and a hot drink so I could only spend £4 - I will be getting the money back which is why I am wondering about the NSD.

Definitely had an NSD today though.

No NSD for me - I went and did the weeks grocery shopping! Came to £8.96 and should keep us going for at least 7 days.

I never got the petrol because it was so bloomin' expensive down here - it's cheaper nearer the city - so will get it in the morning. Bit peeved, cos now means I've had to use 2 spend days instead of 1 as planned!
