  • i love this site, just been to collect middle child from mother in laws, had home renewal billfor £171.15, thanks to this site got it down to £95.38, not bad for a nsd day and a saving of over £75 even if it isn't for me still makes me smile that the big companies aren't getting it!! whoa me!!

YAY!! Way to go rubiesr4eva :j

Going to have a nice night knitting/ironing while watching Larkrise to Candleford, should get lots done!

Oh ho ho... Larkrise to Candleford is back!! My Sunday nights are now officially SORTED! Thank you so much for the reminder Keiss 21

Am feeling something of a good moneysaver today as have managed to stay in and achieve NSD no. 7:A But more than that... went through joint finances with OH (with the help of Stevie Wonder in the background to keep the atmosphere chilled and laid back) and it's good news!! Not only have we paid off the Credit Card (from furniture when we moved in) but we'd OVERPAYED and claimed back £195 this afternoon. Thank you very much :rotfl: Joint Finances looking in much better shape than they did 6 months ago and OH now agrees that my money saving ways aren't 'boring' and 'miserable' as he once thought because there is now more than expected available for stuff.

So yes, I will enjoy Larkrise later this evening along with a HM flapjack.

Thank you so much to you lovely people on the forums... has helped me to slowly start converting OH and means that our wedding dreams are oh so much more likely to happen. Yay!:T

OH MY GOD thanks for reminding me - I would have totally forgotton!!!! GASP.

I love period dramas (They are my one weakness as Dorcus would say) but esp Larkrise and then there is also Cranford. You just can't beat a bit of Cranford....now there's a bunch of ladies who know how to economise. And Imelda Staunton as Miss Pole is hysterical. "This is no occasion for sport! There is lace at stake!" I'd better getter myself off afore I go off on an 'Ode to Miss Pole'

Oh yes and reporting an NSD for me today :D

    NSD number 8 :j:j:j

Cannot help but think back to the Rock You show, and think that I might be renamed Scaremoosh (or her first rhyming name :D) by the end of this challenge, as am now starting to appreciate that trips to the 'salon' are out! My nails that were part of my first NSD quests in removing the Xmas fakeys by myself are bleeding all over the place ... very shortly I am going to have to add sanitary towels to the tips to mop them up :p - perhaps pulling nails off is not the best way to go about saving £15!

BFG has promised to drive me to nearest assylum if I do something similar in future - the agony is almost too much to bear (although alcohol does numb the pain a little!)

I need to do something to my hands to make them look a little better before work tomorrow else people will think I've been finger tortured!

True story, but when i was in the military I pleaded with my boss not to tell me top secret things because I couldn't bear being caught by anyone and having my fingernails ripped off under torture. I willingly admitted, that if anyone came near me with finger pliers I would type out whatever they wanted to know in whatever language it was needed - so they would see how useful my fingers were (my boss just told me I'd watched too many scary movies!!), however, I wouldn't take any chances :o

Anyway - feeling slightly insane, because the work document I have been working on for most of the day - and almost finished - has just crashed and I cannot find it anywhere - not even on Autorecovery - and I was saving it as I went along.

... will console myself in chocolate AGAIN before continuing!!!
