Didn't spend a penny more than I planned despite having a demon thirst (for water) and a hunger for a hot pie (Had soup when I got home). Walking around Boots showing them who's boss and who's hard and who doesn't need to buy any of their lovely tempting smellies. Walked past Next with their offensive 'Sale' posters. Don't they know I'm Hard-core?
Yay - go curlygirl - well done you for being hard-core.
Hi everyone,
Haven't plucked up the courage to risk breaking my neck on the ice yet, so still haven't ventured out of the house, so NSD no 9 for me......
I will start spending eventually, honest, just waiting for the ice to melt a bit so I don't risk breaking my neck..
Well done to everyone with an NSD today, you're all great.
Hugs to anyone still suffering/imprisoned by the ice/not managing an NSD today or just generally struggling - you'll get there.

No yesterday was a NSD so i would have had a SD either way. i thought that DH wanted to go shopping today so i thought i would count it for today but we didn't go out due to weather.

I think it depends where you live and how long snow has been there. Mine arrived on Monday night (i think....I've lost all track of time and day) and I live in quite an urban area so other people have already trodden where I have feared to tred....up until this morning. The pavements are either thick slush or very roughed-up crispy ice....which is okay to walk on. I only had to walk a short distance to bus and then precinct in towncentre had been largely cleared. Having said that I did do the 15 minute walk from my local supermarket back to my house. I went out in a rather attractive pair of hiking boots but I was aamaazzzed to see people trotting around in silly footwear and even people with bits of bodies exposed (tummies and love handles). I was well covered up and toasty.......except my face which by the time I got home was frozen into a slavering grimace0 -
Hi all. Have just realised that somehow I've racked up an NSD. So that makes a massive total of 2 NSDs for Jan.Clothes challenge 2011 £254.08/£500!!!Toiletries challenge 2011 Trying!:j:T:j0

Aha! What goes around comes around!!
So after my trip was cancelled this weekend my BF arranged to meet up with some of our friends. I was therefore planning on getting a round in and in my best MSE chic style I suggest we get a bottle of wine in to share as we probably needed to "slow down on the alcohol post Christmas", and nobody objected... then my friend pointed out I bought the last round last time we met up so this was "their round". So I got a gorgeous glass of wine (and a glass of water to keep me going)... and I didn't need more than that. So in a nutshell: a free night, a good gossip, some lovely red wine and some of the best company. Result!!
An unexpected NSD No.6 for me :j
Now listening to the Beatles waiting for my oven chips to finish cooking so I can share HM chips and cheese with my man. Oh yeah - I know how to live :dance:Proud to be dealing with my debt0 -

Yesterday was NSD 5 for me - another 6 to go this month.
Making a concerted effort to use up food I have in - frozen stuff anyway, as I need to clear some space in the freezers (then defrost them) so I can work out a better 'filing system' for the contents - is certainly reducing my grocery bill for this monthCheryl0 -
Had a spend day yesterday and today will def be a spend day. Tommorow should be a nsd apart from posting ebay items which I don't count as that is other people paying postage.
Keep warm!0 -

We don't dress him up or owt, but he loves to snuggle on your lap & follows No1 offspring absolutely everywhere.
One very good tip I was given was to make sure we dried his chest especially after being out in the cold/wet, as apparently dogs are very vulnerable to chills & this is where they carry the least amount of body fat.

I wish I still had my Beatles Collection, but I wasn't quick enough to spot the warning silence when the Offspring were toddlers & came in to find them gleefully pulling the brown tape out of the cassetteMy fault as I should have put them up, but I'll remind them of it when Ma's Day is closer
