Going on from what Blue Fox said about the cake decorating show, I really want to go to this but have nobody to go with, so would anybody fancy doing a meet up there?
Would be nice to meet some of you lovely ladies and spend the day looking at cakes, cakes and more cakes! Think happy & you'll be happy

I'd love to come to the saturday show. Just don't know if it would be worth the 3hr+ journey
plus bubs would only be 2 months so the journey might take a bit longer :rotfl:

Shall we all just say if we want to go and the day(s) which are best for us and then we can decide a day based on that? I think a weekend will be better for me because I can't leave the puppy all day so either the Saturday or the Sunday.
Come on Nene, it'll be so much fun and I bet we'll pick up some cool goodies! Better get saving now! :rotfl::heart: Think happy & you'll be happy

Thats the American sizes which are different.
I have found the following information, just by trial and error
you have small muffin cases - 3cm diameter base x 2cm high ( too much hassle) never make SMALL cakes
Fairycakes are our small sized cases you get in all supermarkets
Cupcake and muffin the difference is the height of the wrapper.
Cupcake cases - have to get online - 5cm diameter base x 3.5cm high
Muffin cases I used at the start but these are too tall. 5cm diameter base x 4.5cm high
I prefer the 3.5cm height makes a nice size for the cakes, but I often use the muffin cases from Asda as they are there and cheaper.
hope this helps :T

Well If I can get a babysitter for my eldest then I could do the Saturday as it's Mothers birthday on the Sunday.
I like the sound of goodies
I think I might have Christmas Presents sorted...Might just bake a box of cupcakes for each family and say there you goVery MSE and help me practice

Love the idea of cupcakes for christmas lol get to give pressies that you enjoy making and advertise at the same time!!
Right guys - I have been allocated a slot for a friday morning farmers market and if all goes well I'll be able to do 2 friday's a month so I'm very excited.
It's my first one so can I ask for a bit of advice as to how many cupcakes you think I should bake? With it being a friday I don't think it will be too busy although it has a good stream of regulars. It's in a town that is a bit of an aging community and I'm guessing on a friday there will be mostly pensioners so I was going to go for old facvourites mini victoria sponges, carrot cake cupcakes and some chocolate ones.
Any tips? Will 150 cupcakes be too many do you think? Thanks!0
