Sorry to hijack this thread, but am trying to find out how would I go about declaring my income, paying tax etc if I managed to sell any cakes?
Thought someone on here might be able to help.
Thanks in advance0 -

Hi. Haven't got time to read it all, sorry, but just made me think of one of the companies I worked at. Usually it's normal sandwich companies, but at this one place a couple of retired ladies had got the sandwich round in the office.
So they sold sandwiches and the normal things like apples, crisps, chocolate.
Maybe this could be one way to go for a moneysaver who likes baking? Get a lunch round and sell sandwiches, and your homemade brownies etc.0 -
at present I have a full time job as well
I Googled 'telling HMRC about becoming self-empoyed' today, you will find a link to their website.
Im also employed but had to tell them about me also becoming a self empoyed cake baker. You just need to fill in an online form with your NI number and they will contact you reference your self assessment. Hope this helps xx0
