Thought I'd hit a stop with present buying but when I look at my list it is getting there so they're just being bought slowly as I see things on offer. Got the Ferrero for my OH in Sainsburys today (the mixed box is a third off at the moment I think) and I saw that their alcohol is now 20% off. Got lucky with a triple points for spending £30 till spit today so can get the alcohol I need for presents with dinner tomorrow and get the extra points
Love it when a plan comes together!0 -

The hardest person I buy for is my 89yr old mum. She is an avid reader but uses the library which is just across from where she lives. Only a very moderate drinker, doesn't smoke or eat sweets and isn't a foody at all. She showers daily and would never choose to have a long leisurely soak in the bath! Only likes certain creams and lotions and doesn't wear make up, nail varnish etc and wouldn't thank you for a pampering/massage session. She does watch tv but has her tv watching planned out (ie it's Monday so it must be Coronation St) doesn't watch dvds or videos, doesn't listen to the radio and already has a million music tapes which she listens to now and then. I bought her some good thermal vest/t.shirts last year and did her an emergency hamper (torch, hot water bottle etc) which has never been opened! For her birthday I got her an over electric blanket and new duvet to replace her old ones.
What do you get for the person who needs nothing and when they do need something they just go out and get it? She can't knit anymore due to arthritis and is not a 'crafty' person either:(
She does like flowers but my 3 children usually get her those and I am her hairdresser:)
Any ideas would be gratefully received.0 -

She has everything material but she will never get tired of anything sentimental I am sure.
How about a photo book so all the pictures are in one place for her to browse through, uncluding old pictures from your childhood as well as lots of pictures of her lovely grandchildren that Im sure she will never tire of. You could even include little notes from them?
I make my Grandad a personalised calendar on Vistaprint. Costs approx £5 with the 99p calendar link and postage. Again, do it with pictures of her grandchildren?
Or maybe treat her to a day out somewhere with the family? My Grandad is 80 years old in a few days and he isnt materialistic at all either, but he loves spending time with us all. And I think making memories is the best present you can give.
Hope that helps in some way.

How about some new slippers/dressing gown? (this is my fail safe every year for my nan)or maybe a nice family picture in a pretty frame or a family collage of past and present family members. My sis got a lovely collage frame from b&m and it looks really nice.
edit. Guess someone posted before me lol.0 -

What about magazine subscription - as avid reader - then maybe gardeners world - or one along those lines ???? Then she would be getting one a month for a year. Or if she is into doing crosswords/puzzles - subscription along those lines.0
