Not sure if anyone is interested but Whittards have got a 3 for 2 offer on. The tea/coffee/hot chocolate selection packs are really good present's for sensible people (in-laws, bosses etc) I got my Dad and his GF the coffee one a couple of years ago and they enjoyed all of the different flavours.06/06/2023 mortgage mort dateJUST BRING IT0

can anyone help please.
for my 16year old niece i am hoping to fill a vanity case with jewellery (obviously not gold etc!!)
i already have the vanity case (i recieved it last year but never used it and still has the tags)
and so far i have bought one bangle for £6.50.
i budget £20 total for her and i want to fill it as much as possible but not have things that last one wear, although i know im not going to get anything that lasts a lifetime but a few wears out of it would be ok!
ive seen that primark has a big jewellery range but ive never looked around it.
does anyone know what the quality is? would she get a few wears out of stuff from there?
also for £13.50 would i be able to get a few items? what sort of price range is it?
or do you think id be better going somewhere else? such as?Mummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -

you can get quite a few nice pieces and quite a lot of tat it just depends on when you go. Earrings are around £1 and necklaces around £1.50-£3.00. I have quite a bit and they have lasted well. I love going to george at asda. They are around £1-£5.00 depending on the items but they last long and don't look cheap. Ooh and matalan have a sale on at the mo, jewellery half price on a few ranges, they are good too.0 -
Do you have a nice foolproof recipe ?? ... maybe you could share and encourage some of us (well me anyway) - to bake our own. I remember at school (last year - not) - we made a yummy strawberry and chocolate cake - dont have recipe tho
Hi,
Sorry to butt in!
But if you are looking for an absolute foolproof Xmas Cake recipe, I can help! (or rather Delia can)

I made one of these last year and it was great, planning on making a few more this year as gifts.
Don't just take my word for it though, loads of people on this board have used it too.

i did think of george but the jewellery in the one nearest to me is very much for the more 'mature' lady as is teh clothes unfortunatley!
there is another asda which definatley caters for younger people but its either 2buses each way or £12 on taxis - which is a luxury i cant afford atm. likewise with matalan its next door to this asda:(
maybe i can find some free del codes tho....

I don't think that matalan/george put the full range of items on the website. Its a shame that they are so far away from you. I don't drive so i rely on family to get to distant places so i don't get to places regularly either. I would just keep popping into town every week or so and check out what primark have in stock. They have improved alot in the past year or so. Superdrug do a small jewellry twirly thing too. They are reasonably priced, I haven't brought from them so i can't say about the quality, just trying to think of places that could be near you.0 -
maybe not - neither of them do jewellery online!Mummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0

Primark had some lovely jewellery in today. Must be fashionable because my 16yr old sister was eyeing it all up!! Rings were from £2 as were the necklaces/bracelets. There were also sale items from 50p!!0 -

I have a few pairs of earrings from Superdrug and they are really nice. They were half price, so only 99p and they've lasted me a couple of years. I was gutted when I lost one on a night out a few months back!
Have you tried ebay? I once bought a job lot of jewellery for £5 and I got some really good pieces. It can be a bit hit and miss though.0 -

I love the jewellery that Boots do and they often have lots of it half price. Also Sainsburys do some nice bits and pieces too for a few pounds.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
