  • alanalea - great to meet you this morning as we scrabbled on the floor in Tescos:D! Thanks for your help - my daughter must have spent about an hour choosing what she wanted (now I know why I normally do it myself!) but she is chuffed to bits and we will have great party bags stuffed full of goodies that her friends will enjoy using.

I know I will go back so thanks for your help and hope to see you in Tesco's again!!

    Take care

  • Hi all! Hope you're all getting on well with your christmas planning!
I'm thinking about making my own christmas crackers... Had a quick scout about and found some DIY kits but was wondering if they are easy enough to properly make them yourself? Does anyone else do thier own crackers? If so do you buy the kits or do it from scratch? :D Would be interested to hear all about them :)

I make my own crackers from a kit - usually a couple of quid from Tesco's. I usually out a scratch card, a joke, a hat and a polished penny - just a bit of fun to get dinner started!
  • i got a kit last year from tesco, £3 for 6 and had hat/joke everything you needed in them. Apart from small gift. Hope to get them again this year!

  • Hoping to get started on Mum's Sock Monkey this week. I've also bought some presents off the 'net which I'm waiting to arrive. And I've decided to clear out a shelf of books in my wardrobe, put them in the loft, and use the shelf as a storage space for my Christmassy things as they're a bit scattered about (I have a super small bedroom.) Oh and I got flannels for my Flannel Reindeer but I haven't put them together yet.

Also my boyfriend and I got back together on Saturday so now I've got to sort out a Christmas present for him too :rotfl: It'll be homemade though I think. He already knows I'm saving on Christmas this year so I'm mulling over ideas at the moment :)

I still need a tree and decorations, although I have some LED Christmas lights already :)

And good luck with your TTC. I was two and a bit months pregnant Christmas before last - couldn't eat a thing because I felt so sick :(
