My question is, where do I buy the baskets? I have bought LOADS of Soap and Glory goodies for my mum (she loves the stuff!) and want to make a hamper.
Thanks in advance x

Hi everyone,
I was on last years "Lets get organised" and I loved it!!! :j
I was very lucky to have a cash win just before Christmas last year and I had some spare money leftover for the sales so I managed to buy all my in-laws gifts in the Boots sale and also a few other bits and bobs.
My Son is very much into Toy Story this year and what with the new film being out I've managed to get some great offers on the toys. So far we have:
1x Action links "Jessie to the rescue"
1x Action links "Sunnyside break out"
1x Action links "Evil dr porkchop"
1x Chatter telephone
1x Bullseye buckaroo
1x Toy story fleece blanket (Xmas eve hamper)
A few stocking bits
1x Hot wheels set (in sales last year)
1x Meccano set (in sales last year)
I've also been lucky to win 3x Disney dvds, 1x plush Mickey and 1x plush Minnie (Mickey and Minnie were £16 each!!) and also a Disney crayon wheel.
For my DS I just need to get 1 more Action Links set, the Buzz Lightyear laptop and Jessie & Bullseye pack - 3 for 2 in Argos :j
I have 3 younger sisters and usually I do them a hamper each but its a lot of fuss and they are getting older now so this year I am doing them a mini hamper (with treacle moon equivilant shower wash, body scrub, body butter and lip balm - all bought today in my local JTF on offer) and also a voucher each - probably for Primark or New Look.
My Mum and Nan are having the same - a small hamper made from Body Shop white musk and a voucher
Grandad - no idea. He is happy with anything (which makes it even more awkward) Ideas would be helpful on this if possible?
Step-dad, BIL, cousin - again all sorted from last years sales. I also bought all my wrapping paper and cards in the sales last year. :T
For our Xmas Eve hamper I still need a few bits but I can get on with that a bit better when the shops bring out the wintery pyjamas/slippers etc. I am also keeping my eye out for the Santa Buddies DVD (was £6 on Amazon a few weeks ago and now back up to £12)
Sorry it's so long!! Off to read what was posted before me :xmassmile
Oh dear - I forgot to mention my OH!! Poor man lol. Well I'm not sure what he is getting this year, I think we'll set a limit - although we did this last year and he nearly trippled it with what he bought for me!!!0 -

kaida - thought you were trying to tell her something too!
candjsmam - lots of people do christmas eve hampers for their other halfs, although i just do it for my kids. dh is hard enough to buy for as it is:mad:
last year my kids were almost 2 and almost3 and we hid it in their bedroom for when we got home from shop - just before bath time. in it was;
dora bubble bath and bob the builder showergel (both had a little bath toy with them)
bath wash mitts - peppa pig and roary the racing car
thomas pjs and charlie and lola pjs
shaped bed pillows- fairy for dd and toy story alien for ds
magic reindeer food - oats and edible glitter to scatter in the garden
thomas and princess torch to see in the dark when scattering the reindeer food
a magic christmas key to hang on the door so santa can get in(ds was concerned as we had our fireplace filled in. he kept trying to drag the cooker inthe living room!)
a christmas plate and glass - for leaving cookies and milk for santa
a christmas book to read before bed
and some chocolate buttons for them both.
i think that was it! it went down a storm. when we've asked the kids about last christmas they cant remember any of the toys we bought them but they remember everything that was in the hamper! i think its because of the 'magic' element.
i will be doing it again this year but i think i will add a cookie mix in there and a dvd to snuggle up and watch together before bed (i planned to do this last year but we watched all the dvds i bought!)
and im planning on putting in character fleeces instead of the pillows this year too.
Can I ask where you got your Alien shaped cushion from? I saw some in Tesco but didn't want to pay £8xxxx

Thanks for the replies!! Really into xmas at the mo and we havn't had out summer hol yet lol. Went into Dunelm yesterday and picked up some great canvas boxes which can the be reused after.Only 1.99 each. Not sure what to do for 11 year old son but have started to do a pampering one for DD by picking up some great bits and bobs in Asda, some exfoliating gloves and body scrub for starters. Defo want to do the snowman soup for both, they look fab. Wondered what popping candy would be like in them!! Asda also had great offers on car wash stuff so decided to put a car cleaning hamper together for OH and put into large bucket which was £1. This is such a fab thread. Just need ideas for 92 year old gran now!!0

perhaps a canvas pic of the family? you can get loads of places doing them half price between now and xmas.
or a photobook.

Like the sound of canvas picture thanks!! Always put together with bro to get her a lovely food hamper but done that for years so thought would do something else. Also thought might get the children to paint some pottery for her, cup and saucer etc. They love doing it and i know she would treasure anything like that.
