If anyone is doing a hamper for a man who wet shaves Morrisons have Fusions razors (with a discreet England Flag) for £2.00 instead of £7.99...
They're called Fusion Gamer Razor (well that's what it says on the receipt) and in my morrisons were in a basket in the personal care aisle...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

13's a tough one! I nearly made the mistake of asking DH "what would a 13yr old boy want for christmas?" but given this day and age he'd say something from the top shelf of a magazine store. :rotfl:
what sort of budget are you on?? Scalectrix sprung to mind which although can be expensive if you start looking now you could pick up bits off ebay and make into a hamper.
I can imagine lol. Saying that his mam was telling me they found him looking at some !!!!!! sites and he had a box of tissues next to him. He now thinks there is some programme on the computer that tells his parents what he has been on so he wont use them again. Its a really horrible thought. It only feels like yesterday when he was a cute little toddler .
I have a budget of £120 because he normally likes £80 in cash and then it gives me a bit of money to play with. Unfortunately he already has a scalectrix.0 -

it cost me £25 in total and it had everything in it accrylic paints, pencils, charcoals, waterclours pencils, watercolur paints, brush set, 4 sketch pads of different sizes, 2 watercolour pads in different sizes, 2 how to draw/paint books and a mannequinn to finish it off.
if i say so myself, it was really good!
I bet that was a great feeling. He isnt really into art but this would be a great idea for my 12 yr old niece. She loves art and craft and loves drawing. She keeps drawing dresses and things so maybe could base her hamper around this. She may even take the next step and try dress making.0 -

I've been getting bits & pieces together over the past few months by using the book clubs that come in to where I work
My niece is getting books, DD is getting books as her main pressie as she devours them faster than I can buy them (Roald Dahl collection - RRP £99, I got it for £16 :money::D She'll love them as she's been reading the ones in school
) and I've picked up a few other little pieces. Hoping to pick up the pace a little over the holidays and then ease off again until half-term in October as I have an exam in October for my OU course:eek:
Going to set to on making Xmas cards soon just as soon as I've got my next assignment done and dusted. It'll be a nice break for a couple of days.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
since my last post i havent done much:o except stick my full xmas list on a thread on here, people have given me some great suggestions, so im just whittling them down.
i did get the dolls seat for dd's bike but when dh tried it, its too big! so im going to see if f-inlaw can make some sort of contraption for her to stick a doll on the back of her bike.
dh wants to get her a new bike with a seat already attached but i think its just a waste of money as the one she has now will do her for until next xmas - she can only just reach the peddles now!
i have recieved a email from build a bear today (i complained about abear she has) and they asked me to pick a different bear and dress, which they will send out to me. i didnt even have to send her old one back :T
so ive ordered a bunny and a pink princess dress, which i will put away as a present for dd:D
dd loves soft toys (she's always falling out of bed because she has so many in with her!) so this will be a nice gift for her.
my two have chicken pox atm and while we've been stuck in the house we have watched the dvd's i had bought for ds - oops!
so he still only has his uno moo game
i really need to get a move on:o
for ben10 fans i was in tescos today and they had the ben10 sticker sets reduced from £8 to £1 which i thought was a bargain. ds already has had one so didnt bother. they arent worth £8 but for a stocking filler at a quid you cant go wrong!
they also had a stand full of kids jewellery and hair sets (clips, bobbles, headbands etc) reduced to 50p each including some disney stuff. dd had asked me to get her something nice with her pocket money - so she was happy when i got homeMummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -
Hi. I am new to this thread can i play please!! I started xmas in the January sales buying my neices, nephews, etc from the Boots sales. I managed to buy all OH family except mum in law so i can concentrate on my family and the kids. I have bought several bits for them both especally daughter who will be 15 in October. I love fragrance direct and so have bought several bits from them to put back for her. I am intrigued by the xmas eve hampers, what a fab idea. What sorts of things do you put in and what do you use as a hamper. Do you do for just kids or OH as well . Thanks :j0

MIL - pretty jar with Christmas coloured bath salts, book.
SIL - set of different flavoured vodkas (skittles, toffee, blackberry, liquorice, mint, chocolate)
Friend P - CD and sock monkey
Friend M - taster set of lots of fancy teas, and a custom dice (he's a tabletop gamer and, like me, is into tea).
Foster children of Mom - HM heads that grow cress 'hair'.
Need help with:
Other things for DH (sci-fi, fantasy and gaming geek)
