Glad we are getting more people on board. I havent bought much recently however other than a Radley handbag and travel card holder for my niece from the local Radley clearance shop. They cost me £46 for both which I think is a bargain and I know my niece will really love it. Other than that I have started jewellery making so will give some of my makes to family members and friends. I hope to start getting a few more things in the coming weeks especially for my nephew who is hard to buy for. Got him some clothes from the JD sale and made him a golf hamper. Going to get him loads of smellies and things to top it up as he wants mainly money. I might have a look on the boots sale to see if I can pick him up some cheap aftershave. I did buy some perfume too but decided I really liked it and kept it for myself.0

Are you trying to tell her something?
LOL, she is in fact very interested in murders, violent crime, serial killers and the like. We get on pretty well. Didn't used to - as a kid she came on a visit to my Gran's with my BioFather and me. She tried to tell me what to do and in a fit of 'She's not my mother' I asked if she was coming again next week. She said no, so I said "Good!" and stalked off!Saving for a house deposit.
Trying to sort clutter and sell as much as possible to make room and money!0 -
:santa2:welcome to all the new posters :santa2:
kaida - thought you were trying to tell her something too!
candjsmam - lots of people do christmas eve hampers for their other halfs, although i just do it for my kids. dh is hard enough to buy for as it is:mad:
last year my kids were almost 2 and almost3 and we hid it in their bedroom for when we got home from shop - just before bath time. in it was;
dora bubble bath and bob the builder showergel (both had a little bath toy with them)
bath wash mitts - peppa pig and roary the racing car
thomas pjs and charlie and lola pjs
shaped bed pillows- fairy for dd and toy story alien for ds
magic reindeer food - oats and edible glitter to scatter in the garden
thomas and princess torch to see in the dark when scattering the reindeer food
a magic christmas key to hang on the door so santa can get in(ds was concerned as we had our fireplace filled in. he kept trying to drag the cooker inthe living room!)
a christmas plate and glass - for leaving cookies and milk for santa
a christmas book to read before bed
and some chocolate buttons for them both.
i think that was it! it went down a storm. when we've asked the kids about last christmas they cant remember any of the toys we bought them but they remember everything that was in the hamper! i think its because of the 'magic' element.
i will be doing it again this year but i think i will add a cookie mix in there and a dvd to snuggle up and watch together before bed (i planned to do this last year but we watched all the dvds i bought!)
and im planning on putting in character fleeces instead of the pillows this year too.Mummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -
Hi all
I always try and get all my Christmas shopping done by the begining of October as i can't stand all the rush, and i get to sit back and enjoy the festivities withour the stress and worry.
I always go into the sales and but presents that i keep in a present draw for people through the year, i went to the next sale in January and got some gift sets for £2 each and some key rings with a lip gloss for £1 nice for unexpected presents or to bulk up other presents.
I have bought all my cards for this Christmas in the January sales and have a christmas bag with cards and some make your own crackers in.
I also recycle any gift bags that are in good condition that way you only need to buy tags or you can do as i plan (see below).
Also i have kept all of my christmas cards from last year to make tages out of or if you felt very creative you could even make your own cards out of them.
I will be making my own Christmas Puddings and Mince meat can't wait

Im looking for exactly the same to make my nephews presents look more. I have picked him some bobby moore foundation pjs from matalan sale which were £2.50 and they have england socks and other bits at 75% off. Not sure if football stuff would be any good to you. If you get any other ideas I may have to pinch a couple.
Thanks :rotfl:0 -

Hi all! I love this thread and have been following since January. I have got most presents sorted and am loving how organised I am! My question is, where do I buy the baskets? I have bought LOADS of Soap and Glory goodies for my mum (she loves the stuff!) and want to make a hamper.
Thanks in advance x0 -
