  • Managed to pick up a set of 3 whicker baskets from home bargains today for 4.99. They are white baskets with either pink polka dot lining, blue polka dot lining or beige polka dot lining. They will be ideal for my hampers I intend to make. Cant wait for our local car boot to start so I can start picking up bits for them. They usually sell sanctuary items at a very reduced price.

This thread has died a death.

I managed to get a Ben Sherman watch and leather wallet for my nephew for £10 in the Argos clearance section. Will certainly make my nephews pressies look something this year especially as he prefers mainly money but some presents.

Hello all! I haven't posted in ages...but I'm not doing bad on Christmas and bdays!:j

I have everything for dd3's baday in July, all stashed away, and a fair few little things for dd2's bday in Nov....she wants a bike though, so am watching for a good deal.

Then that's all the bdays done and so I can really start concentrating on Christmas!

I haven't been doing too well on the money making side...will need to start picking that up....but so far:
    Dooyoo: 13500ish points....need to get writing,hoping to reach 50000 for £50 payout
Panel Base £7.25 Need to try harder with this. Keep getting screened out thoughgrrr...aiming for £10 by Christmas!
Lightspeed 800 points so far. Must try tocheck for surveys more often. Would love tomake £20 by Christmas....might only manage £10 though
OnePoll Only just joined, but have £2.75....may not get payout before Christmas though LOL

So hopefully that will be £80 ish towards Christmas!

I've also got £37 pounds in Morrisons saving stamps so far...aiming for £100 by Christmas...am a bit behind though....

Present wise I've got a fair few bargains stashed away!:D

DS2- little jigsaw X2 - halfprice Jan sales
    Airbricks little digger -halfprice
Airbricks big pirate ship(lovely!) half price, plus I got a £5 voucher for filling in DC dates of birth, so was £22,but I paid £6:D

DD2 - Aqua beads set - half Price Jan sales
Tin of fairy sweets - less than half price Jan sale, bbf date not till next Jan!

DD1 - My Life virtual game - half price Jan sale
Victorian Dolls house book - reduced in discount book shop
Make up set - 75% off boots sale
stacking santas - 75% off lakeland Jan sale
Fairy tin sweets - as above!

DS1 - Counting money box - 75% off lakeland sale
Solar powered Boat kit - less than half price,LLoyds Jan sale

DD's 3and 4 - fairy tin of sweets, and 2 lovely books each from Poundland!

    Not doing too badly.....
DD2 wants an MP3 player, so will be on the look out for a basic but good one at bargain price!
Also checking abay for ELC fire engine I want for ds2

DS1 wants mostly fencing gear (as in the sport, not planks of wood LOL) , so not much chance of bargains there....

Would really love to be able to get a wii between the older ones...will have to see how my surveys go

Think really a car boot sale is about due as well!
Ok...sorry for long post! Needed to re-motivate myslef.
I SO want to be more organised and ahead this year, so I might actually ENJOY christmas for a change!;)

loupoppins - I cant believe how well you have done and you seem so organised. Keep up the good work.

Snowbrow - I too have started visiting a local car boot fair and I was really surprised how many new gift sets are for sale which you can pick up really cheaply. I got my niece a Britney Spears midnight fantasty 30ml perfume and shower gel and cream for £3.00 sealed in a box. I also got some sanctuary gift sets one of which had a damaged box but I want it for a hamper so it didnt matter. The boot sale also does a lot of new stalls selling no 7 and stuff. We also picked up loads of hair clips and things for 20p each which all come from Asda and other super markets but must be end of season sell offs.
