hello all...I've popped onto this thread a few times...but then sort of get sidetracked by real life!
Anyway...feeling much more Christmassy and motivated now..maybe the approach of Autumn...
Have been doing quite well with stashing things away and finding bargains.
Managed to order 2 dolls for youngest dd's (1 each- they both want a doll that wees for christmas LOL) from Amazon using my voucher from Dooyoo:D
Then yesterday popped into local warehouse which has just opened up to public and managed to get 2 buggies for £2.50 each, 2 little doll carrier things for £1.50 each and 2 night tome doll outfits £1.50 each...pleased with that....
Also got 4 fairyplaysets (little barbie type fairydolls)for all 4 dd's at £1.99 each. And 3 little trucks for youngest sons stocking for 99p:T
Have quite a bit of stuff already stashed throughout the year too...and placed an order with Hawkins bazzaar yesterday...some sale stuff, some not in sale, but all good cheap stocking stuff:D
All dc's bdays out of the way now except dd1's in Novemeber...and have little bits for that, and just waiting to spot a good deal on a bike which is her main present..
Also have £62 in Morrisons saving stamps so far...
Am going to start planning other relatives hampers now...and also need to get knitting as making little dolls and Christmas things for dc Christmas Eve bags...
Feeling somuch more organised this year than ever before...Soooo hoping to avoid that horrible panicky feeling thatnormally grips me from November onwards!
Aiming to be totally finishd and sorted, except for baking, by end of Nov, so I can spend Dec enjoying the buildupwith the dc for achange instead of running round like a headless chicken!
Will definitely be around this thread more from now on as I need to keep my motivation going;)
Only 140 sleeps to go folks:xmastree:(and yes I've put the countdown clock on my desktop!)0 -
Maybe a little bit naughty although i'm already naughty enough
Ideas ????????
How about some of his favourite beer or chocolates. A romantic DVD, a booklet of vouchers he can redeem for a massage, or a cooked meal etc. Im sure others will be along soon to give more inspiration. Ill have a think and pop back soon.0 -

last year my kids were almost 2 and almost3 and we hid it in their bedroom for when we got home from shop - just before bath time. in it was;
dora bubble bath and bob the builder showergel (both had a little bath toy with them)
bath wash mitts - peppa pig and roary the racing car
thomas pjs and charlie and lola pjs
shaped bed pillows- fairy for dd and toy story alien for ds
magic reindeer food - oats and edible glitter to scatter in the garden
thomas and princess torch to see in the dark when scattering the reindeer food
a magic christmas key to hang on the door so santa can get in(ds was concerned as we had our fireplace filled in. he kept trying to drag the cooker inthe living room!)
a christmas plate and glass - for leaving cookies and milk for santa
a christmas book to read before bed
and some chocolate buttons for them both.
i think that was it! it went down a storm. when we've asked the kids about last christmas they cant remember any of the toys we bought them but they remember everything that was in the hamper! i think its because of the 'magic' element.
i will be doing it again this year but i think i will add a cookie mix in there and a dvd to snuggle up and watch together before bed (i planned to do this last year but we watched all the dvds i bought!)
and im planning on putting in character fleeces instead of the pillows this year too.
hope this helps youMummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -
