It was gridlock coming out of wigan town centre.
Luckily I had a couple of my christmas gifts onboard.
The always stylish tartan blanket from my mum and the latest Jack Pyke stainless steel thermos flask, the 730 ml version I'll have you know from good old grandad.
there has been all sorts going on here - it's needed someone like you to come back and sort them out...

Crowds of the unwashed to fight your way around, eventually buy something you didn't need because it was reduced and spend ages in a queue for the till, then the fun of the drive home.
Alternative, enjoy well earned time off from work, and do your shopping at a time to suit you from the comfort and warmth of your home and have it delivered to your door, and it's cheaper to boot.
Retail shopping, no thanks.
It all depends on what you want. Stay in all day waiting for delivery item not what you expected or doesn’t fit tramp down to post office to send back. Stay in all day waiting for replacement still doesn’t fit or isn’t quite right. Back to post office or just put up with anyway. Mind you go shopping boxing day no way.0 -

All depends where and how you live and your neighbour situation i suppose, but good point it's not for everyone.
We probably have to go collect once every couple of months with a missed item, most delivery companies know this is a safe drop point, and it's only once in a blue moon that the order goes wrong...much depends on where you internet shop.0 -

I must admit I buy quite a lot online but sometimes it's much better if you can see and touch what you want before you buy. For example I was intending to buy a Canon camera but when I picked it up I knew it wasn’t for me and bought a Nikon instead. I must admit I paid slightly more than I would have done online but I valued the service I got enough to pay extra.0 -

Mr B received a Royal Pardon from Martin. Apparently, a select few are granted a reprieve from PPR at this time of year as a gesture of goodwill.
True, some called for Dithering Dad to be reinstated, but Mr B has more fans and, though it may be hard to believe, fewer socks.;)0 -
