here is how something becomes a sale item:
increase price for a few weeks then lower it and put a sale sign up0 -

Your being very cynical it is possible to get bargains in the sale and your theory is quite wrong the item has not been increase for a few weeks then put in the sale after Christmas, it was sold in some out of the way shop for a couple of weeks at the higher price then shipped in and put in the sale.0 -

MSE Martin also pleaded with me to make a return as viewing figures for the forum were at an all-time low. In the spirit of Christmas I have decided to accept his kind, if rather desperate, invitation.0 -

It was gridlock coming out of wigan town centre.
Luckily I had a couple of my christmas gifts onboard.
The always stylish tartan blanket from my mum and the latest Jack Pyke stainless steel thermos flask, the 730 ml version I'll have you know from good old grandad.
You're lucky you could get anywhere! We live near Wigan and by yesterday evening we couldn't even walk over the road because it was so icy
don't think I'll be driving in to town for a couple more days. 0 -

Have you been in the spirit of Christmas again?

It's the opposite. Mnay goods have to be on sale for 28 days or more prior....you only have to have one out, or some in a stockroom.
Clothing....I know about this.
The Sale comprises of less popular styles (known as fashion failures), a few leftover sizes (the good stuff is only in size 6 or 16) and, for sure, there is some 'bought in' produce. The odd random item out for 28 days, hidden from view, overpriced by 30% min...then it multiplies at Sale Time...and has 70% off...wow.
Suppliers clear stock too, so we used to buy in jeans @ £4 (usually £7) and sell at £30 reduced from £60. Bargain.0 -
One of the tops youngest bought yesterday is the same as one bought by my eldest in September (only smaller obviously) and the price has certainly more than halved since eldest bought it.
Youngest has been after it ever since eldest bought it and would look longingly at it every week in the shop....but then we are weird and maybe others didn't like it so much meaning it was end of stock or not a huge seller. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0
