Well done to you too Babafette! It gets easier from here on in ( she says)
Out of interest, whats the extra cash for? saving for anything in particular?Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0 -
Thanks lynzpower. To be perfectly honest, I'm not really doing this to save cash at all, more to save my sanity! I really need to make some space and just stop hoarding in general.
i put a brake on clothes and shoes and now i'm not buying toiletries for at least a year what is the point of me even going shopping? i've got this awful feeling i'm going to collect loads and loads of free samples. i have a shoe box crammed with them already :eek:0 -
fizzy,
Heres a suggestion. I used to work for a street charity that used to work with young runaways. I used to phone and get samples from all the beauty & toiletry co's and hand them out to the young people, the young women used to love the pampering, plus they could take some with them to hostels etc when they left. Could you donate some to a similar charity near you?
Sounds like you like the "thrill of the chase"- thats OK, but why not give the goods to someone who'll use them- after all you never paid for them, right and you still get the thrill of collecting:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

did you find it hard deciding what to let go? I was fine when my beloved Mum was still alive. She used to love having my cast offs. It was a standing joke between us that my spare room was her Boots. She only used to wear lipstick in the way of make up and I don't think she had ever had to buy one since I was a teenager.(So my obsession has been going on for a good 30 years):o. I gave a lot to my sister but she is not a product junkie and it will take her ages to use everything up. I gave a lot to my friend's teenage daughters and my teenage son's girl friends. But to be honest all of that hardly dented my stash at all. What is worse is I found it so hard to decide what to part with as I wanted it all:o It's just so irrational.
my mum and my sister are buying my p&p and evelom. my sister's moving abroad so wants to take british stuff with her. she might even buy some of my perfumes. i want rid so at the moment i dont really care what they choose.:o there'll still be plenty left for me to work through.they'll take the good stuff and i'll be left with the rest. serves me right
i'm on my own when it comes to foundation though because i'm so pale. can't give that away!0 -

Can you still do neutral?
On a different note, im nearly through an eye cream yeah.
NabYou laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!

Maybe you are not "doing anything wrong" maybe its you thats doing something right! I must admit I was rather liberal with the superdrug eastern spa shower gel as I wanted to move on to something a bit nicer- not very :money::beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Need_a_break wrote: »Hi all, I think this a good feedback response as it actually describes your experience in a non emotive manner whilst stating the facts. Then its up to other buyers wether or not they risk buying the product and after all we can only go with the facts, ie your seller was unaware of the item being "fake" and did refund you. I have both sold and bought on ebay and have had both good and bad experiences with buyers and sellers so i try not to get myself wound up about any disputes and stick to the facts.

Yes, FF, sorry to hear it was a fake! Nightmare. You did right with your feedback, not nasty but will certainly alert other buyers to the issue and I for one would not take the chance of buying from that seller if I saw such feedback. Hhope you have better luck next time xomandymoomoo wrote: »still not finishe any bottles/packets yet....What am I doing wrong?

Hi all, been reading through & catching up. I haven't actually used anything up yet, BUT as someone(?Bronnie)said, I'm trying to make my stuff last as long as possible.
A couple of things I have found interesting, using almond oil, instead of moisturiser, I might try that (after I use up face cream), since I have very dry skin. I also found the chit chat about makeup brushes interesting, I always use a cotton bud to put eye shadow on, are brushes better? If so, why??
