No buying new toiletries etc until.....

im starting to think I am going to just keep a total in my sig of what ive spent on toils throughout 2010. And aim to have v little left by Xmas! medicines not counting. 99p stores have Lemsip in and have done for ages- cheaper than most other places. Also check this price difference:
vicks vapor rub- 4.39 in sainsburys. Sainsburys own make 1.29.
No discernible difference as far as I can tell.
so far- 0 on actual toils and OH on strict instructions that I will buy whatever he needs WHEN and only WHEN he NEEDS it. I can tell we are going to have words about the leftover lynx shower gel he doesn't like. HES USIN IT!! :rotfl::beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

I go away for one night and you lot fill up 5 pages!!!! It's not only our toiletries that are excessive!!! LOL
I stayed in a Holiday Inn so only basic toiletries. I didn't use them or pinch them but took my own stuff and used that. Usually I bring home the small bottles and give them to the kids but they are using my stuff now to use it up.0 -

I find make up throwing really easy actually. Theres some that JUST DONT SUIT ME. OrI HAVE NOT WORN. If I havent worn them, and they are new. Ill sell them at car boot or ebay. Some items are just "mutton" & some bits I know are just crap. Why keep rubbish stuff- unless you really will "use it up". i dont as a rule find ake up ever really runs out as such, more that it gets old/ tatty etc.
If you have nice compacts you can sell these on ebay. I don't spend a lot on make up really. I have No7 foundation that I get cheap from boots clearance and have 2 halves on the go. I dont wear make up every day though.I got a R&M case last year thats been nice and I binned old stuff when I bought this. I have a couple of extra no7 eyeshadows and about 4 lip glosses/ sticks. If they dont suit me, I dont tend to keep them- in case I wear them by mistake and look terrible lol:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Great idea, mine is however scattered around the house ( and van) I also found:
bottle of johnsons holiday skin & large peach BS body butter on my desk ( pretty much new) Every day I find more eek
Can anyone think of a good use for "johnsons holiday skin" I dont mind the feel and effect, but the smell is AWFUL. I have about 4 tubes of this as they gave them away with the evening standard. I cant bear to throw them out.... Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Right then,
1 eyepencil
3 lipsticks
1 lipgloss
1 foundation
2 mascaras
1 eyeliner
2 eyeshadow
have gone to makeup heaven.
Thanks for the encouragement. I'm terrible for keeping things "just in case" (of what? a nuclear war?!) I've got 2 big eyeshadow sets, don't think I'll ever buy eyeshadow again. I like the small ones though to take on holiday.
Going to list my no7 free gift on eBay. I love the chainmail bag but I don't need anything inside it. I do not need another cute sized mascara just to look at.
edit: lynzpower i once sold my half bottles on ebay for more than they were in a shop?? some people cant get to shops so apparently half empties on eBay are the way forward?
