Bottle of l'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Light shampoo finished today (freebie). I liked it when I started using it but I've fallen out with it recently - it seems to make my hair go 'floppy'. Replacing it with a bottle of Aveda 'smooth infusion' shampoo which I've had in stock since Summer (free with a voucher from Marie Claire mag, so actually cost me £3.50-ish) but put off using until I'd finished a couple of bits and pieces (see, I was doing this challenge months before I knew I was ;) ). Has anyone else used either of these shampoos? What did you think of them?

Well I have just dusted my pine dressing table. This is an arduous task since it involves removing all my lotions, potions and perfumes from the surface before I can actually access any of the wood.

I was half tempted to post a list of the items I keep on my dressing table but I'm scared. It is just a minute fraction of my stash. Nobody knows the full extent except my OH. If I write it down it will all seem too real..... :undecided

Lol, I agree! Shame it's taken me so long to realise it. I was seduced by the tiny bottles (and the free-ness). :D

I was scared too! I've posted my amounts, i can remember the exact amounts but it was something like 75 face products, 30 shower gels, 10 lotions plus more

It really helped me to write it all down and see exactly what i have but more importantly how much i have spent!:rolleyes:

Thanks Jewelleryfan, I might do. I couldn't face posting the whole stash though, but I guess the dressing table would be a start.

The money side of things doesn't bother me so much because, knowing me, I'm sure I would have wasted the money on something else. I just don't know why I buy so much stuff when I never use it. And it's not like I just buy one thing either; for example when the Soap & Glory Admit It You Want Me Sets were on offer I had to buy five, I found a Sanctuary nailcare set reduced several months ago so I bought two....I mean why???? What the hell is wrong with me?

Well our local poundland had Charles Worthington Shampoo and Conditioner last time I went in- so might stock up because it's really nice and smells gorgeous and it keeps me away from Boots! I will try and resist any other bargains (and that goes for household cleaning products as well!!!)

Those CW products have been in poundshops for years- Im staggered anyone ever pays 4.50 or whatever boots charge  . Dont bother to stockpile ( she says) most of my stockpile has come from 99p stores, poundshops, market stalls, home bargains and boots clearance. ( sighs)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I am going through my list and updating my totals and I am glad to say it isn't as bad as I thought, although still bad enough.

I also noticed in Boots yesterday when I popped in for some cough medicine that they had Sensodyne Pronamel toothpaste reduced by about £1.00 so went back today to buy some. I picked up all the tubes on the shelf (5) but actually only paid 45p for them as the rest of the cost was covered by vouchers. Does that still count? I resisted the urge to buy it previously when it was full price so am hoping they will last me until hopefully I find it on offer again.
