just finished a liquid soap in kitchen so now only got to finish the one I was testing for a survey thing and the 1 under the sink then I can attack the stash of tablet soap hidden in different undies drawers to make them smell nice!

using all the small Boots moisturisers that come with goodie bags before i will buy any new big ones.

went to Tesco for the 1st time this year and all I bought was food(apart from a £1 pack of value knee highs....dont tell clothes challenge!!!!!!!)was thinking of buying cheap concealer but there were no testers so didn't.

just said on radio it will below freezing in East Anglia tonight....guess where I live!

also the new M&S boss has a pay deal worth 15 million!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ohh aren't we all doing well.

I have a strange question about body butter. I am using up a cocoa one on all the bits i can reach (not my back but DH always massages me with baby oil or lotion once or twice a week). last night he offered to use the body butter as it was out. once he'd done it my back started 'flaking' - doesn't happy anywhere else always end up lovely and smooth.

    why??????
Oh, I don't know  The only thing I can think of is that the butter is slightly older?

But I used a lotion the other day and my skin started flaking, didn't happen with any other one.

have just upped my direct debit to saving acount by £80 to account for non buying of clothes and toiletries(was £20 a month),no idea what I normally spend in a month on clothes and toiletries (shocking I know, anyone out there who does know how much they spend?)
    A £60 jump - that's amazing! :T

It's good to have a goal, mine is to be able to move me and the little one into a new house.

Ummm....let's start with the good news: I've used up a small talc, 3 mag freebie sachets of moisturisers and a travel size shower gel :) but ... I didn't have any more moisturizer (except some icky retro cold cream - no good on my face) so I went & bought a day & a night firming moisturizer from Boots but fell into Bootser mode & ended up with 2 packs of wipes & two gwps as well (did use £10 of No 7 vouchers & a 250 point coupon though).... I'll get my coat :o

  • I finished a liquid handwash in the bathroom this morning, opened a new one by Spa 02 - I guess it won't last that long - it's quite runny compared to other ones I have used in the past.

The one I finished was from the Royal Bouquet range by Bayliss & Harding - quite a nice smell and quite gloopy for liquid soap - WIBA, yes maybe when I run out of the others as it did the washing of hands quite well and it did smell nice.
  • I'm a little disapointed with the Nirvana Spa stuff :( Over Christmas Asda's were selling various little gift packs for a fiver each but cos the boxes were damaged I got one for £2 the fruity one[/URL]) and the other for £2.50 (various chocolate like ones) early Jan. (My Supermarket Link)

So far I've used up the hot butter fudge - which smelt fantastic but it didn't transfer to the water or you when you wash. The cranberry chocolate doesn't smell as nice as it does in the bottle and the smell doesn't transfer like above. I do have to say though, the coconut one I used up the first time was gorgeous! I smelt like coconut for ages after - it was lovely.

The coconut is the only one (so far - still another few bottles to get through) that I will buy again in the larger form when my showergel runs out.

Not impressed with the Alberto Balsam Strawberries and Cream shampoo either. When using certain products it just doesn't get my hair clean, and when it is washed - it only takes all of 24 hours for it to look unclean again straight after. It smells GORGEOUS!! but it's no good for me.

I fell off the wagon a wee bit the other day - I bought the S&G perfume in Boots, but I love the smell so much and it was 1/3 off and I paid with points, so I feel like I wasn't as naughty as I could have been... I also bought some cotton buds from £land today (I had run out) and I also bought some toothpaste (which I don't count because it is a necessity and I got 50 points back).

I finished a couple of miniature products over the weekend and have almost finished the neverending clinique clarifying lotion that I seem to have had for ages (it was the biggest bottle of this that I have ever seen - I bought it for an absolute bargain in Andorra quite a while ago)... I am looking forward to having the space in my bathroom when I chuck the bottle out (finally).

I have been reading Salesaddicts posts and can definitley identify with her. I find that I mooch around Boots etc when I am feeling a bit low and need a boost. I seem to go there everyday (even now I am trying to stop buying toiletries - It is almost as if I am trying to torture myself). I live on my own, I'm single and am unhappy with my body (which is something else I am trying to sort out as well as decluttering the flat etc etc), so to cut a long story short, the buzz I get from buying toiletries and the buzz I get when I use them for the first time almost makes up for the shortcomings in my life elsewhere (I have amazing friends, but it isn't the same as having a bloke)... However, I need to get back to the gym and keep out of Boots and see how I feel then (exercise always makes me feel fab - I only stopped because of injury)!

On a happier note, I love the smell of S&G Mist You Madly and am so happy that I am doing this challenge and can smell of it all the time ( I have a lot of S&G products with this scent)!!
I'm buying No More Toiletries, I'm Deluttering and I'm Losing Weight for 2010!

  • just about to have a shower, am still washing with the boots shower gel given to me as part of a skin care study which I'm being paid £50 to complete, got to use it fr another week while they do certain tests on my arms. Once it's over I'll use it up as bubble bath and get back to my beloved s&g clean girls. Will use daily smooth all over after (except forearms), still using the tube I cut up the other day but I've prob only got a couple of days worth left.

and I'm going to have to take off the nail varnish I put on yesterday because it has chipped so bad even though I did a base coat and 2 coats, maybe I should have put a top coat on :( I'd have thought that no7 would have lasted a bit longer to be honest. I never pay full price for them, have only ever bought with a voucher but even so!

Hair wash in the morning, still workingmy way through frizz ease shampoo and conditioner from boots hair care voucher back in Nov/Dec.

Confession time...I did go into boots today an picked up a S&G body scrub, I walked round with it while having a good look at other stuff then eventually put it back because I was wondering what else I could buy to make it up to a fiver so I could get an olay voucher, then I thought to myself what am I doing, just put it down and get out...so I did. I wanted a distraction because I'm writing a crappy land law essay this week and I hate it.

I did end up breaking my no clothes challenge though by buying some diesel jeans in the charity shop for £3.99 (and some vintage style shoes for £2.99 and a next grey suit jacket for £2.99  )

    Good morning ladies!

I used up an iFoam S&G shower gel this morning (SOB!) but have another three to keep me going :o

Back to the slightly odd-smelling Palmolive one for during the week though, no wonder it was reduced to 50p at the time :rotfl:

Is that the one that smells slightly as though a labrador has dribbled into the bottle? If so, I know the one you mean!

I am so tempted by a strawberry one too :o

Can I ask, does it count if you buy something, like lush soaps, with no intention of using them :rotfl: I use them as a nice air freshener in the bathrooms :o

Yes - I'm afraid it does. Open a window for 15 minutes instead! :rotfl:
