the ball on saturday was good, lots of people though so no room for any big moves meant I had to dance very close to OH with my arms by my side(he could not tell me to keep them in dance hold as no room:rotfl:)
wore new dress,a little number from East with straps like very thin bra straps that need adjusting and cross over at the back(plus a little bolero top to cover my fat bits....well some of them:rotfl:)
anyway after a couple of jives I realized I had not really adjusted the straps high enough and it was rather too low cut for my liking and as the bolero was attached by a tiny strap and press stud I needed to take the dress off to change it.........................................anyone else ever taken an evening dress of in a toliet cubicle?????.........that was the easy bit:rotfl:as for getting it back on the right way round.....OH wondered where I had got to ,luckily there was not a queue for the loo0 -

Well, over the weekend I managed to use a small sample of advacado foot cream :T, a shower gel :T and ds finished a pot of hair stuff and a shower gel :T:T I also gave away 5 hotel soaps on Friday.
BUT yesterday, I found 6 more hotel shampoos, 6 more hotel soaps and 5 hotel body creams and a load of small No7 for men bits and pieces in a cd style wallet, so I have put them in the carboot box
This week I am going to finish my Oscar de La Renta perfume, I have had this for 3 years and it is almost fnished and I aim to use up at least 2 of the hotel body creams.:o
I have one shower gel left in my stash, so may try soap next.
Car boot to be done on Sunday yippee8 months to go till end of the IVA :j:rotfl::T0 -

Well done to everyone sticking with it. I feel February being much more focused. Im now clear on what we use, how much, how often something needs to be replaced. In terms of hair styling products- only one thing in the whole month ( curl creme) has been finished.|A shower gel for me alone lasts just under 2 weeks. Conditioner for us both, a week. Shampoo- at least 2 weeks. Handwash- at least a month. Body butter - WHO KNOWS!
I dont think we will need anything aside from one shampoo in the whole of february. We will probably need mouthwash too.
CALLING JANUARYS TOILETRIES SPEND FOR 2- 19.33 ( rather shocking).
Aiming for February to be 5.00 or less.
Anyone else got a February Goal?
My February Goal
I read this yesterday and thought it was a really useful idea to try to look ahead and plan ahead necessary purchases (if any!) for the month and set a budget. My spend for Jan was £3.99, just for me, all essential purchases. However I boobed with the shampoo/conditioner I bought and have swapped it with DD for her half-used Dove, so may need to buy again in Feb, although will be trying to spin out what I've got. I also need cotton pads and almond oil. So my target spend for Feb will also be £5 on necessary items. However have some stuff on ebay, so hopefully I can get back to being toiletries money-neutral for 2010.I have bought some Lacura serum from Aldi to replace the P&P, whilst I was there
QUOTE]
It was £3.49 and the eye cream is £1.49 considering the P&P and M&S eye cream probably cost £30 in total it is quite a saving if it works. It smells more than the P&P but it is quite a pleasant smell. I feel the same about P&P being an 'Emperor's New Clothes' product but I have felt the same way about Olay products and others I have read rave reviews of in magazines.
That's an amazing price. Will be interested in your user review! As you say though the prob is what works for one.....!! Thanks for reply anyway.:)0 -

Paint Your Nails Monday :T I'm wearing a very old plumish colour today.
My February goal will be to buy five items or less, rather than money spent, if that's ok. Making space is my absolute top priority at the moment! As things go down I can see a chink of mirror at the top of my dressing table, one day I might actually manage to sit down and put my make-up on there, rather than the bathroom :rotfl::)0 -
Today I have used up a small S & G flakeaway scrub, Aussie hair sachet this is my last one. I can now use my Urban Retreat hair mask.
I am using a Raw Organic chamomile & olive body lotion (freebie send off for with Zest magazine) unsure as it smells funny, now I know why DD gave it to me. I will use it in the morning as it sinks in quickly.
22 items on Ebay 4 finishing tonight so all good.0 -
im wondering whether you "go shopping" to get out of the house?I only say this as I know my mum does. Be it that shes had words with dad, or hes asleep ( does funny shifts) or quite frankly shes bored and honestly doesn't know what else to do with herself.
?
I do that, I live alone and only work part-time. I live near a big shopping centre so I'll go out for a coffee and a walk round the shops. I've never really spent all that much but fashion and looking good has always been my thing. The things I buy are usually reduced by 70%, I don't drink or go to pubs, I go to shops and coffee shops. My money problem is lack of income rather than overspending. I'll do a diary thread soon and explain there.
Back to the toiletries. I was officially starting the "no toiletries challenge" today 1 Feb but it's been about a week since I've bought anything. I have no interest in this months Boots skinnie voucher so that'll help.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000
