Actually Lynz I feel quite pathetic when I think about the very real troubles that other people have in this world. But thankyou for your kind words.
    . :)

salesaddict I think a lot about what happens in the world and do what I can. Why don't you give some of the money you save by not buying toiletries to UNICEF's Haiti appeal?. Don't be so hard on yourself. You've acknowledged that you have a problem and take it from there.:):)
    I went away and now I'm back.:j:j
  • Well another bottle of avon body lotion used up, thank god, I was getting abit sick of smelling like a banana!!! I must've liked it at the time, and decided to buy 3 bottles of the stuff, aswell as matching shampoo and shower gel... Staying away from avon now...

Also used up a foot cream (Avon, again), a Pantene shampoo and a nivea cleanser.

    Today was a good day.

Also wanted to ask for your experties ladies....
I've been using the No7 p&p serum for a few months now, but as nice as it is, I'm not really noticing any difference. Is there an age range this is meant for, or is it for all ladies? (I'm 30)

    Thanking you all x

Finished up my aveda sap moss 1 litre shampoo that ive had for ages (at least 1 year if not 2). I love this shampoo and now they have discontinued it i will have to find something else to replace it. But for now have charles worthington long hair shampoo to use and then i have philosophy, so won't be for a while. Also i have used up a 15ml liz earle moisturiser today which took me ages too.

Does anyone know if the body shop ever had a brazil nut body butter for very dry skin? Or am i imagining it? :o

This P&P thing is seriously bugging me, cos when it first came out I believed the marketing was aimed at the mature skin age group (ie me et al :o) Subsequently, it seems to have shifted and the marketing appears to be less age-specific, and I know lots of you younger girls like it.

Now age 52, I do expect to have to pay a bit extra for something hardcore (!), but the main benefit I find from the P&P creams are the skin- plumping and firming properties, which personally I didn't need pre age 40. (And personally I highly recommend the creams for that; the serum I'm not so convinced about) I wouldn't expect to have to pay so much at a younger age, when basically what I needed from a cream were moisturising properties.

It's hard to judge, cos everyones skin is different but I just have this bit of a feeling they're playing on people's insecurities. The thing is, the plumping and firming benefit of the creams is immediate but not long-lasting. So slapping it on in your 30's isn't going to give you any long-lasting benefits in your 50's. Whereas good genes, good health, diet, lifestyle and using sun protection definitely will!

But it's big business, it's very confusing and who am I to say?

I've never used serum. Am I missing something?

I have no idea. I knew they definitely did it in the past as I got a gift box of the brazilnut stuff gifted to me one Christmas. I think that must have been about 4 or 5 years ago right enough. There seems to be a few sellers on ebay selling it, so you shouldn't have any probs getting some when you run out.

I don't use serum either, I think we're just missing the chance to spend more money ;) (but then, I'm cynical)

    Good morning ladies!

I used up an iFoam S&G shower gel this morning (SOB!) but have another three to keep me going :o

Back to the slightly odd-smelling Palmolive one for during the week though, no wonder it was reduced to 50p at the time :rotfl:
