There is an online code, have a look in the voucher thread on the grabbit board. You could use the code online and select to collect in store to save on postage ;)

edit - The code is PFMA48
AND it takes a fiver off all qualifying products in your basket ;)

Is the Aveda Shampure any good for greasy hair? I've never bought it before because it's quite expensive, but I have tried practically every shampoo under the sun in my quest to find something that actually works. Needless to say I'm still searching......... :undecided

How are cosmetics so addictive:mad: I spend more in Boots than I do in the supermarket.

  • Snipped, yummy, do you make your own chilli beans or are they the ready canned ones, also do you add cheese to the mix or as a topping pls.

Ready canned ones, 32p from Lidl ;) Its the easiest dinner to make. Heat up the beans, chop some salad and heat some tacos. I put the chilli in bowls and the salad, tacos and cheese on a plate for us to assemble ourselves. DDs verdict was 'Amazing!'

I got a bit carried away when I read this thread starting on boxing day and although I'm not guilty of buying toiletries until I've used up what I have I decided in the spirit of money saving that I would collect all the hotels soaps and toiletries on my next holiday (which just happened to start on Dec 27th). I reasoned Id paid for them anyway so I was entitled to them.

I have to say I took it very seriously and after 16 days in Florida flew home with -

34 bars of soap (little hotel room ones)
    4 mini mouthwashes
12 shampoos, 8 body lotions, 6 conditioners and 4 packs of 2 facial towels

oh and a plastic shower cap.

And of course we used quite a lot of stuff on the trip too.

I always leave a nice tip for housekeeping and it certainly paid off as they left extras a few times.

However my husband nearly exploded when one of our cases was overweight on the way home (thankfully the nice Continental airlines lady turned a blind eye) and he insisted on putting my entire haul in a carrier bag when I unpacked and weighed it. I couldn't believe it - it weighed 4lbs - and he proceeded to rant about how my "freebies" could have cost us a small fortune.

So maybe on the next trip I'll be a bit more selective (and it will be a while before I need to buy soap anyway!):D

Importing freebies! You give the Scots a bad name! Only joking.

I went shopping today & didn't even buy a bar of soap - no toiletries even after scanning the offers & bargains.
I think the shops will soon have to start giving the stuff away.
If anyone has shares in Boots I'd sell them if I was you. They must be feeling the pinch.
  • Well I said I'd be back but I didn't forsee the mammoth task I had set for myself! I'm almost finished with the inventry(?) but I won't bother listing it on here as it would be VERY boring to read (not to mention type!!!) Lets just say that I have no reason to buy anything except toothpaste and deodorants for at least 6 months!!
Good news is I have emptied a roll-on deodorant, a bottle of Head and Shoulders and a bottle of Avon shower gel this week so I have made a start!!

This thread is really funny because it's the "not buying cosmetics" thread yet it lists every too good to resist offer that's available.
