Hi Nab! Chicken yoghurt curry sounds yummy. Would you mind charing the recipe?
I am having a take away tonight - my OH is treating me.
I went in to Boots (to pick up a prescription) and Body shop today and didn't buy anything. I kept thinking of my list to put me off buying anything. :T

Can I join in? Better late than never...
Since finding the forum I've had a good sort through, and including freebies I think I have enough body lotion, shampoo/conditioner, hand cream etc to last a year. Thing is my lovely friend is an agent for a cosmetics company and lets me look through her agent's only handbook, so over the past couple of years or so I've collected a dressing table drawer full of bits.
One way I like to use the small sachets and vials (as well as taking them on holiday) is to slip one in with birthday cards. I get lots for men too, so they don't go to wasteI do that with sachets I don't think I'll use... I like to put them into my ebay packages (if someone has bought fullsize cosmetics or smellies from me). At least someone else can use them that way.

I've just sold a body lotion that I listed earlier, for £4.50... probably end up with £2 after p&p and fees, but I got it free with my perfume so it didn't cost me anything. It pays for one of the Benefit body washes I bought today0 -
I had to go to Boots today to pick up a prescription and had to buy some cotton buds too as our Sainsburys hasn't had any the last couple of times I've been in, for Boots not to have any either  (I do need them by the way). I did resist the temptation of the 5 baby items (cotton pads and cotton wool balls) for £5.00. Talking of which, I use cotton pads to use the toner on my face and was wondering if there was much difference between using cotton pads and cotton wool balls for this purpose. Although I don't need them urgently yet I don't have a spare in my stash so do need to get something eventually. I can then work out whether it will be cheaper to get what I need in Sainsburys or take up the 5 for £5.00 offer. I was going to have a look in our little pound shop but it was shut for some reason, although being very tiny I doubt they would have any anyway. Resisted everything else whilst I was in there :jDid owe £9,951.96

Hi, sure its really easy and quite "fresh Tasting" compared to the usually quite rich taste of other curries.
Brown your chicken in some olive oil and remove from oil and set aside.
In a hand blender with jug (or whatever you use) blend
1 can plum tomatoes
1 tsp salt,
0.5 tsp chilli powder
0.5 tsp corriander powder
0.5 tsp cumin powder
0.5 tsp tumeric poder
2 cloves garlic
0.25 inch piece ginger
0.5 large tub of live yoghurt (not set)
In th pan that has the oil from browning the chicken add a few more tablespoons oil and when hot add the blended yoghurt mix and cook on a low heat for about 20 mins or so until the oil rises to the top and seperates from the mixture. Then add the browned chicken, cook for 20 mins or so and add water as neede to stop mix ture from sticking and becoming to thick, your aiming for a thick pumpkin soup consistency, add fresh corriander when its nearly done to garnish. Serve with rice/ chapatti etc. Leftovers go quite well wit a large baked potato.
I know there a lot of ingredients but the method is really simple and i often cook this way if im in a rush and dont have time to use the long cook method for making the (wagar/ tarka) or sauce.

All this talk of food is making me hungry. Used up a handcream at work (yay) :j and promptly got another one out of the drawer.:o
Bath tonight methinks - to use up some :DClarins scrub (small tube) and probably finish a :Dconditioner. I go through loads of conditioner. I also have a small Aveda shampoo sample I was given yesterday which wont last long.
:DHair conditioner - after my bath I will only have one in use! Although I am sure I bought a set from the hairdressers..... so probably best not to celebrate just yet.
:DOnly 2 face scrubs in use (one is nearly run out). Woo-hoo.
:DShampoo - only 2, both opened/used. I agree with earlier postings about Loreal shampoo. Tis no good for my hair.
:oCleansers - about 4 in my stash! 2 not opened/used.
:oEye creams - about 4.
:oBody lotion - about 6.Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

That reminds me of something my mum does - she pours boiling water on our step to melt the ice... then an hour or so it freezes and makes the problem worse.0 -
