I took the perfume back but wasn't allowed to exchange for a top up, so I ended up buying some shower gels with it (£10). I didn't want to get any toiletries at all but couldn't find any alternative, but at least I know these will get used more than any other stuff I could've got in Boots.

I'm having to have a touch up wednesday! Nail polish has not lasted well this week!
Hoping to finish this dire Vanilla Natural Collection bath foam this week WIBA: no but it does give lots of bubbles, it's just boring.
Ooohh! I'm wincing on your behalf..........you are doing VERY well if you're perservering with that, (but I really don't like vanilla toiletries anyway.) Can you use it for wiping round the bath and basin too to get rid of it a bit quicker?0 -
used 2 packs of root touch up yesterday along with a face pack and 2 body packs (thats all the info im giving;))
decanted two liquid soaps into one container and rinsed the almost empty one out in the bath to use as bubble bath and make sure it was all used up and not wasted.
going to find time to paint nails this afty, dont know what colour yet depends which bottle has the least inSPC~12 ot 124

:mad::mad: nasty mr boots bringing that offer out now
Mr Boots? He's just cynically manipulating us ladies!
Of course he knows we're salivating over his goodies. The big smarm is sitting back in his big leather chair as we post, smugly smiling to himself as he knows we're ready to dance to his tune!! Like one of those men who pretends he loves women, but uses and secretly despises them (OK sorry, getting carried away here!)
He wants his stock out of the warehouses and your hard earned cash into his bank account.
Simple really!:D
PS salesaddict, you're well impressive this morning!!!!0 -
Hia,
Slow down peeps, less talk and more using up stuff (Only me that cannot keep up??!). Right so I used up over the last few days:
1. Clinique repairwear lift night - small pot - very nice. Would buy again but only if I can get it on offer (eg Cheshire Oaks outlet) or Bonus time.
2. Clarins hydroquench cream - small tube - very nice. Yes. Nice consistency. Again will only buy if there is a decent offer on. Eg at xmas/mothers day they do these as part of a box set. Same price. So I can give the free stuff (usually a mask and a serum) to sis if I have stuff myself. Would probably up it to an SPF one.
3. Matrix Biolage hair repair - pack of tube treatments. Great stuff. Very intensive but am struggling to find stuff strong enough to help my over-coloured hair. (Cough...see later).
4. Toothpaste - Colgate total blue gel one. Yuk! Much prefer the ordinary one.
5. Laura Geller lipgloss part of a set - hardly used - a pink colour with glitter. Had to chuck it. Felt like my lips were dipped in sand!
6. Deodorant - a chemical free one - Japanese spa minerals or something (think similar to your one Tara747?). Was ok. I buy a better roll-on chemical free one from Waitrose.... Mmm must not look at their shower stuff when I am there!
So not a bad tally. About 6 things used up. Now I did buy some stuff yesterday!!!!! However, (let me explain). I bought and try to justify these as follows:
Liz Earle perfume - and Liz Earle eye serum. I am racing through my perfumes so this one - WHICH IS GORGEOUS - will be a Valentines present to me (loved one was surprised but at least I get what I want and need). I think I will always have 2 perfumes on the go. This one (v.expensive though) and Avon Perceive.
Now with the eye serum, this will be one of my regular purchases now. I have found when using up stuff that a lot of eye products affect my eyes when I use them overnight, whereeas the LE serum doesnt.
Muslin cloths - haven't got any and they are useful to remove masks and any cleanser. My skin is looking rough so hopefully this will help it.
Liz Earle toner in a face spritz bottle - I've got this as I suffer with a hot head a lot - particularly when I am tired. Plus it's a really uplifting smell. I only have one other toner in store (being used actually) so again I don't feel too bad.
So far so good. But I then bought a hair serum (Aveda). I used to buy this years ago but as I hardly got to the big department stores I just don't see it. Now I have 2 hair serum products. But it has with a few squirts sorted my straw like hair out.
Can I confess to physically shaking when I was shopping yesterday. This is powerful stuff! I turned down lots of things which I do have duplicates of including ... Maybelline colossal mascara (have 3 mascaras to use before then!). ...An eye shadow palette, yes it was cheap but I have others. ...An Aveda hair mask as I have another brand on the go and one in store. ...collection2000 concealer pen, read good reviews about it but I have a concealer in use already. ...a clarins bonus time offer as I dont need any of their stuff, I have other moisturisers to use up. ...a decleor set that was reduced to something silly like £15.
It was like being in the lions den. Phew. I can gather myself today. Even though I can justify the bits and bobs I still felt out of control. Even though I refused loads of stuff. I guess I have nurtured this manic side for quite a few years and so it will take time to tame it.
sorry for the long post! hope everyone is getting on ok. I'm off to try and catch up on all your posts. And to use up my horrible M&S perfume. :ADeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Next time you have this problem it may be worth trying another store. My local store tends to give a giftcard when items are returned without a receipt but the store near my mum only allows exchanges, so it seems policy differs from store to store .
Right must get back to reading the rest of the thread, we cant half chat:p.
Ooh also ive made a chicken yoghurt curry for tonights dinner and old recipe from my aunty, anyone having anything nice that i can nick the recipe for pls?
Nab
xxYou laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!
