I [STRIKE]want[/STRIKE] need to join in too!
I managed the first 6 months of this year without any toiletry purchases, but have fallen by the wayside.
Some of last years Christmas presents are not used up yet.
Unfortunately, like many of you I tend to open things up and at least sniff, if not try, whenever I get something new so they really aren't sellable.
My first target is to use up the 10 assorted shower and bath gels that are currently open in the bathroom, along with the 6 body lotions/butters and 3 handcreams:eek:
Then I may treat myself to opening up a posh gift set and using matching products for a while.
I daren't count the other things in the cupboard in the bedroom or the storage box in the spare room yet.. little steps to start. I'll try and do this over the next week and then start on the make up!
The only thing I know I need is perfume .. none for Christmasbut I may steel myself to a very quick trip to Boots to buy some with my points.
I will not look at the offers .. I will not look at the offers Iwill not look at the offers!!!

I may join this too.
I have about 20 body lotions (not including the ones that are open in the bath/showerooms), 10 conditioners, 8 shampoos (plus 5 in the s/room ). I have about 6 mouthwashes too - boots had them to clear for about 20p so I had to take them
Oh, and about 6 mascaras (fair enough a few of them are minis that I got free with glamour) and so many sanitary pads (and therefor free gemma kidd lipglosses) that I can't envisage me buying them again. They'll probably be part of my daughters inheritance :rotfl:

File (any coarse nail file will do, doesn't have to be a foot file) off any dry skin and slather the cream onto your feet. Works a treat :j Possiblly not what you wanna be doing if you're intending to seduce though0 -
Wow !! I am so impressed that so many people :A want to jump on board, and VERY pleased that I'm not the only toiletry/cosmetic/makeup junkie!!
I though it might be a good idea to report in at the beginning (or end) of each month to see how we are doing. (and hopefully how much we are saving!)
Good luck!!

tee hee....good luck!
I'm doing a body butter tsting over the next few weeks....can only do it at weekends. Results will be on texture ,,,dh has so far prounounced right arm softer and nicer smelling than left side so thats a victory fpr Dove Pro age over Johnson's dreamy skin. Just about to do my legs with Skin boost body butter because he likes the smell, I don't....so on my legs hopefully I won't beable to tell I semll like something out of a chocolate box (it says macademia and honey but smells a little more like white chocolate to me....I hate to smell like chocolate:o)0 -
3 days in of using body lotions (so I actually use them up) and hubby has just commented that I feel soft! Blimey!0

Hi there,
I wondered if i could join this thread? I have just done an audit of all my toiletries  (well, most of them at least, except some bits in my present drawer) and while I knew I had a lot, the recent xmas presents have really boosted my stock. I'm surprised about how much I've got!
So, this is my (embarassing ) list, condensed. Some of the products are mini sizes, but still......
Shampoo 7
Conditioner 7
Hair styling 10
Shower gel 14
Bubble bath 30 (this includes bath bombs and pieces of Lush bubble bars as individual items)
Body scrub 7
Face scrub 2
Face moisturiser 10
Body moisturiser 15
Eye cream 2
Hand cream 4
Deodorant 3
Toothpaste 8
Toothbrush 6
Face wipes 5
Cleanser / face wash 5
Soap 7
Toner 3
lip balm 8?
Sanitary products 8
Other 10
I don't think i'll be buying anything except deodorant for a while....!:D
Some of the products are new and unopened, eg some Soap and Glory body products, so they could be made into a gift for a friend's birthday... :money: Otherwise, i'm as guilty as the rest of us in opening things and not finishing them before I start the next one.
For those faicial moisturisers that don't suit my face, i'm going to use them on my body instead.
Good luck with the challenge everyone!
