Started using up my bars-of-soap stash in the shower last night! Used the soap with one of those puff things and it was fine.

Who was the clever marketing person that persuaded us that we need to buy countless bottles of shower gel instead of one bar of soap that lasts for ages. (Imperial leather soap was 4 bars for a £1 in the £shop......imagine how long that would last compared to one bottle of shower gel?!) Madness really! Just need to find some way to keep it in the shower cubicle so it doesn't end up in an unappealing sllimy mess!

I have a quick shower every night after work. My plan is to use up my bars of soap and s-t-r-e-t-c-h my luxury shower goodies, by using soap most nights and my lovely stuff at the weekend/before going out as a treat!

Soaps, while you are not using them, stick them in drawers, to scent your clothes.....hey might as well be doing something useful while in the queue to be used :) Can you put a soup dish in your shower? We have a sor of intrisic plastic one on the bit the hose hoes through.

Yes! Need to fix something to the tiles behind the shower so it doesn't get wet all the time!

I've just seen this - maybe I should join in!!

I've just doen a quick count and here is my stash:
    14 bottles of shower gel
6 bottles of Dove 'Go Fresh' body wash
5 and a half bottles of shampoo
    14 bottles of bubble bath
7 cans of Impulse body spray
8 bottles of perfume plus 4 minitures...
    also unopened - x 4 bath bombs
    x 2 Next toiletry sets
Mini travel bag with x 2 mini Dove body wash and deodorant.

PHEW! I am guilty of stocking up, Im afraid :o I particularly love the Dove body wash and as I cant usually afford it I buy multitudes of bottles of the stuff when its on offer!!! Im also really bad for perfume - I have a perfume for every occasion and have just got an Angel box plus a set of 4 minitures for Xmas, as well as a bottle of Vera Wang Princess that I treated myself to Xmas Eve.
The only thing I'm still going to have to buy is deodorant - I only buy what I need of that and I use tons of the stuff due to work being so hot I will still buy it. This will be a massive challenge as I love toiletries but will give it my best shot!!!

    Can I join too.
I have promised this to hubby even before I discovered this thread.
I have ample of bubble bath
    shower gel by the plenty,
shampoo I have bottles and bottles,
    body scrubs,
    bath salts
Body lotion which I really don't use but will start using.
Face wash (like the body scrub)
Not so much hair conditioner (but will use it all up first)
Not a huge amount of soap, but going to use the soap at the sink and the shower gel in the bath.
    Hand wash
    Mouth wash.
And enough perfume and body spray to start my own perfume shop!

That's as much as I think I have without writing exactly what I have.:T
    Grocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03
    Other spends (Clothes Luxuries etc)£11.97 + £1.19 + £7.36 + £69.00 + £38.50 + £5.50 + £23.00 +£2.00 = £158.52:shocked::sad:

Im up for this challenge. I was just thinking this morning (after unpacking my Lush parcel yesterday :D:j:D:j) that I have plenty of shower and bath related items including many that are open and that I can save money by using it all up. I make the mistake of buying a new shower gel product and trying it immediately rather than using up what I have first thus leaving lots of opened products !

I did sort it all into relevant boxes back along (box for shower, box for hair stuff etc) but its all got in a bit of a mess again so possibly with the last couple days of my hols, will try to sort it out so I can have Flat Eric's Bath and Shower Emporium :D:D:D

There will be bits I need to buy such as dove soap, deodrant and ladies essentials but apart from that my mantra is going to be use up what Ive got !!
  • I'm in. I have more nail varnishes that I care to count, and the amount of face moisturiser that I have laying around the house is scary.

I have a question: I have adored some of the seasonal bath bombs....I never stash these, I only buy a few and use them all (DH and I bath or shower together daily when he is home, so and he loves a smelly bath ;)) so I'm wondering if maybe I SHOULD get some of these in?

Of course if DH buys them for himself, you'll be in the clear and still be meeting the challenge!;)
