Just washed my hair... I did the conditioner to shave my legs trick, and it worked! However for some reason I cut my legs which I never do, but maybe it's because the razor was blunt :S

Anyway I can now cross one thing off my list - 1x sachet of Nivea happy time body lotion. I really don't like it, it smells like cheap washing up liquid.

My big bottle of timotei conditioner seems to be neverending - why's that always the case with products I hate? :(

It's just sod's law, the same happens to me!!!!!!!

Don't go out of your way to go to the Boots sale, will you? Apparently the 75% off has been postponed. See the post by MSE Deborah:

bit late but im gonna join in, mentally i have been doing this challenge for about a year but always something comes up to distract me and i feel the need to buy toiletries/cosmetics
i have way too much to list and tbh i really cant be bothered going through everythig to see what i have or dont have but i know the first thing i will need to buy is deodorant, have 3 roll ons and 3 sprays in my stash box to use up after the open ones im using
today has kicked me into doing this, i had a coupon for boots to get extra points if i spent £35, and i was wandering about looking for something to buy, most things got the oh i dont need it, but i was struggling to spend the last £10 i needed to get the points, so ended up buying more shampoo and conditioner, figuered they will be something i know for sure i would use

so i am challenging myself to not buy anymore cosmetics or toiletries until i have ran all the other ones out
  • Hi ladies, just a short post as kids always a bit rowdy at this time of day. So product review from me

Bourjois so laque nail polish (had £2 off plus used £2 moc so was appro £1.89?), was very thick and gloopy to put on, quite hard to get it to the nail edges and has already started to chip and dent despite using topcoat, so am a bit peeved that ive got 3 others in my stash:rotfl::rotfl:.
Well i,m gonna finish some body lotion after my shower later so thats another £2 in the pot ( have decided to put £2 for every item finished wether expensive :o or a freebie).

On a totally unrelated note, just cause im nosey and looking for inspiration, whats everyone having for dinner? We had dahl curry and rice which went down well, but am looking for non indian ideas as thats what i cook a lot of, all ideas especially those that go down well with 3 kids appreciated pls and also i dont do pig in any shape or form. Tia

    Nab

    xx
You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!

Leftover feta and caramelised onion tart, probably with chips. :D

Thanks for the nail varnish review. I was keen to win one of those in a competition last summer (might have been Glamour magazine?); I'm not so bothered that I didn't now. ;)

Hello all! I am feeling really chuffed with myself today. I went into town and managed to avoid temptation. innocent0002.gif

I visited Savers for laundry detergent and Wilkinsons for toilet roll and shunned the toiletry aisles. Then I went to Boots, didn't even bother to look at the 50% sale bargains and took back two new, unopened packs of Sanctuary wipes which I know I will not get round to using any time soon. I exchanged these for two tubes of toothpaste (buy one get one free) and a Nivea deodorant and ended up with £4.33 credit paid on to my giftcard and an ever so slightly smaller stash.whirl.gif1p739e.gif

I am so pleased and just want to thank each and every one of you who post here for making me realise that I am not alone in my stashing problem and for giving me the push I needed to sort myself out.

    Thanks!!!!! 8736mhx.gif

:DWhat a great girl you are, I must try and take inspiration from you.
Unfortunately the 75pct off Boots Sale is calling me.:o
  • ^well done Babafette (for taking things back & for having the resolve to bypass the toiletry aisle!). Did you have a receipt for the Boots things? Good idea though, at least you got some essentials that you need :)

I'm bored today... I must wash my hair but can't be bothered. I've also just run out of my *favourite* perfume which I'm a bit sad about :(

I was just looking through last month's spending diary and was shocked to find that I bought non-essential toiletries (i.e. stuff I already have a ton of in the house) on 21 days out of 31 :o:o:o How bad is that?!

Ah don't worry love, that was last month and that's all behind you now.
When you look back on this months diary it will be a different story:D

I haven't time to read anything till later, but have a confession to make. I was in Boots and bought a Bourjois lipstick from the clearance shelf. It was £3 (reduced from about £10) and I paid with points, it has just cheered me up so much!! I am sad.

    SORRY :o

On a positive note, the clearance shelves were PACKED with goodies and I resisted everything else, even the Skin Doctors stuff which was 70% off! I love their Relaxaderm serum, anyone tried it? I got it on clearance for £15 before Christmas, RRP is almost £50 I think! I'm dreading the day when it runs out!

:beer:Tara, well done, you must have a will of iron to resists that serum. I haven't used it but that is the type of thing I just can't resist. I mean, when it's previously been really expensive and then comes down to an affordable price.

A few months ago I just popped into House of Frazer, just to browse in my lunch hour. They had just put out a display of Dr Sebagh skin products that were down to £5 each. Some of the stuff had been £110. Can you believe that? I know I am really sad but that is the type of thing that get's my heart beating fast and I'm off into buy, buy, buy mode. I am sure you won't be surprised to know that I haven't even used any of it yet:o
