Today I have used up Evian facial cloths, they were actually a lovely product to use and from the pound shop.
Lurking in the bathroom vanity unit were 2 bottles of linden body oil which my auntie brought me back from NZ last year, I had forgotten how lovely they were so will use them after a bath as they can feel a little greasy until they sink in.
On my bedside cabinet I have bought a little basket and in there are all my half opened products of eye cream, face moisturiser, serums, handcream, foot creams, cuticle creams & body lotions.
I was given the big pink holdall from S & G from DD for xmas and in there I am storing all my new unopened products.
I have 21 items listed on Ebay at the moment, any money made on sales will be used to purchase mascara as I have none in reserve and eye cream.0 -
lol, the lush sale actually popped up in my dream last night - dearie me! good thing I dont live near one
Need to buy a new mascara but dont know which one to get - any ideas ladies?
Shoot me someone for saying "teamed with"

I'm happy to pay for the things I want and that tends to be service rather than lots of products. I am very careful with the amount and choice of products I buy and in their use. The stash I had originally last year was mainly from pressies and general unused stuff, rather than reckless buying.
However I do have my hair coloured at the hairdressers monthly ( because I feel I get better, more natural looking results and I can't manage to 'just ' do the roots all over myself), my eyebrows waxed and tinted (can't see to do them properly myself any more!) and a pedicure, facial or massage ( partly maintenance, partly relaxation and enjoyment) every now and again. I work hard and feel at my age(!), I've earned the pampering!
I don't know whether that's inconsistent with the concept of the thread or not really!
You have earned it enjoy:D. I now have a back and shoulder massage once a month as ive been breastfeeding/ pregnant on and of for the last four years and find my neck and left shoulder are very stiff and i get a lot of pain if the knots are not worked on regularly. Had to miss my massage last month (paid for parking ticket instead:o) and its really showing. I only go on a sunday once a month as the young girl who works on me does a 25% discount once a month on a sunday so im being quite mse. I do get my hair coloured at the salon, only do it once every six months or so and again only go when they have the special on ( which they havent done for a while, and im waiting to go) which includes a cut blow dry etc plus full head highlight for £50 (this would normally cost £90 , and i have long hair too) so again i do try to be frugal with my money whilst still getting the things i need. But i must admit this boots think totally took over my thinking etc , really terrible and im not over it yet:o.

Nearly slipped up today when I got an email from Rodial offering their Creme de la Creme body cream for £9.99 instead of £35, then I came to my senses and realised 1) I didn't actually need any more body cream - I've got enough to moisturise a whole troop of elephants and 2) I'd just be buying because it was reduced. See how good I'm getting!
However - there's always a "however" - I did get some body firming gel to test, but I have to use that, so that'll be gone in a month. It's not something I already have, so I'm not having to stop using something else to use that if that makes sense!
12th January and I still haven't bought anything, but I'll probably have to buy some antiperspirant soon. Opened an Original Source shower gel the other day and I'm half way through that as well. Pomegranate & fig - very nice actually.0 -
Hello all! I am feeling really chuffed with myself today. I went into town and managed to avoid temptation.
I visited Savers for laundry detergent and Wilkinsons for toilet roll and shunned the toiletry aisles. Then I went to Boots, didn't even bother to look at the 50% sale bargains and took back two new, unopened packs of Sanctuary wipes which I know I will not get round to using any time soon. I exchanged these for two tubes of toothpaste (buy one get one free) and a Nivea deodorant and ended up with £4.33 credit paid on to my giftcard and an ever so slightly smaller stash.
I am so pleased and just want to thank each and every one of you who post here for making me realise that I am not alone in my stashing problem and for giving me the push I needed to sort myself out.
Thanks!!!!!Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0 -
I'm doing really well at the moment (already dusted of half a bottle of Olay to replace current moisturiser which is now upside down) but I have a problem. I have a really large bar of soap which is too big to use. Its almost 6 inches by 3 by 1.5. It would last ages. Does any one have any ideas on how to cut it into 3 or 4 pieces?
Many thanks:j Thanks to all those that post. :A0 -
Maybe you should go to bed

NOT AT ALL, I think a bit of pampering does us all good. As an older woman, I need all the help I can get:rotfl: Getting my hair cut and highlighted is worth every penny, since it make me feel great. I also get eyebrows waxed and tinted, (and eyelashes tinted before a holiday). I don't want to be a money saver at the expense of my morale and good self image! I just don't want to waste money, or buy products I don't need, don't use or don't like. Hope that makes sense?

I didn't have a receipt, but I'm pretty certain that Boots are the only high street store that stock the Sanctuary wipes and the ladies on the tills recognise me so I figured it would be OK.
