They are made using polymer clay, not too difficult, just time consuming. Thanks for your comments. It's nice when people admire your work.

Hi guys, I'v been watching this thread with interest and I'm so impressed with all your makes.
I am into sewing at the minute and have been making bags and makeup bags and was planning to make some bag charms to go on them.

I went to a craft show thing today and there were loads of bead people there and I did an hour workshop to and came out with a bracelet! I was well impressed and now I am addicted.
I spent a small fortune and will be watching this thread with interest, and if I actually produce something I will post here. Thanks guys.

eta. these were the bead sellers there today,
    southamptonbeadshop.co.uk
totally beads ltd - really lovely stuff and quite reasonable (the cheapest there today)
Rosarama.co.uk - these guys did the workshop, some lovely beads but a bit pricy
Not sure what they will be like to order from online but the middle one was the cheapest and had some lovely stuff and there was a huge queue here!

Not sure where you guys live but lots of people today were discussing the upcoming Bead Fair at Harrogate, one of the women who makes these to sell goes to the Harrogate Fair once a year and stocks up there.

I have used Totally beads twice now...very good selection keenly priced.....swift delivery.

Harrogate bead fair is a lot of fun, take a man to carry the bags, and expect to go to the car and offload the shopping a few times, (or was that just me going made with seed beads?)

sharpen your elbows, and be prepared to squeeze yourself into non existant gaps to see the stalls!

Mine was very grateful for the bacon butty part way through, though he did end up getting his card out for me by the end of the day!

    :)

After a few weeks of collecting odds and ends, I finally made my way to a local (ish) bead shop and bought some findings so that I could make something. I have decided to take up this hobby along with many others lol, so that gift giving becomes cheaper (in the long run). Anyway, at the prices I have currently bought them, the bracelets work out at £1.96 and the earrings anything between 40p and 66p a pair. So far, my daughters (I have 4) have claimed all but two pieces, which will be for a friend of my eldests, as it is her birthday in a few weeks!!

I must say, I absolutely enjoyed making these and I find it very therapeutic. I am pleased with myself because of the reaction I got from my girls, and because I managed to produce something lol!!

    Hope you all enjoy....

Its easily done and those bag charm kits for £2.90 are excellent value!
