I'm completely new to jewellery making - in fact, never done it before. I'd like to buy a starter kit, but don't know what I need to make sure the kit has in it! I'm looking at this listing at the moment.
It contains:
10m Tigertail Wire
100 S/P Beads 50 x 1.5 inch S/P Headpins
50 x 1.5 inch S/P Eyepins
50 S/P Earwires
50 x 4mm S/P Jump Rings
50 x 5mm S/P Jump Rings
50 S/P Crimp Beads
50 S/P Calottes
10 x 12mm S/P Lobster Clasps
PLIERS CUTTERS & ROUND NOSE
Free Gemstone Beads
Does that look right to start me off? Is the price of £9.45 sound right? Is there anything I'd still be missing to get me started?
Thanks for any help!"There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -

I just did a search on pandora and this thread has come up. How can you use the name pandora to make your own bracelets as then you would be selling "fakes" surely.
I'm guessing that Jenny_f, as well as myself and many others on here use the term pandora bracelets but technically mean snake chain bracelets in the style of pandora/chamilia/trollbead bracelets. Hope that explanation clears it up for you. I don't think anybody on here intends to produce and sell fake brand named jewellery!July- coconut body shop body butter, pom bear football, mini johnsons lotion, Sally Hansen nail treatments0 -
Long time lurker here, very new to jewellery making - love all the bits you make!
Anyway the reason for posting, there is a closing down sale with 60% off Swarovski beads at www.beadgems.com. Some bits are out of stock but there are still lots available.0 -

While there is actually a huge amount out of stock - I just got an order that came to £74 reduced to £31! How brilliant is that?"There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -

Thank you! That's great. And congrats on 1000 fans!
Do you need all three kinds of pliers? It comes with cutters and nose round, but do I need the chain nose pliers as well please?"There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -

Hiya all,
I would like to start making some jewellry, and really like the look of the Pandora 'style' ones. Does anyone know where I can buy the bracelets and beads from one place?
Thanks xxSo much for 'Money Saving'0 -
Hi, I bought this chain: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200413140954&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123
and now I'm looking for some jump rings to fit onto it to attach a clasp. Do you know of any jump rings that would fit this chain as it is very fine. Or do you know of any way I can make rings thin enough? Thank you! Vikki x♥ Blogger at Victoria's Vintage Blog ♥0 -
Hello, I've decided to get back into this after a long dry spell with no inspiration. So I've bought some new beads, and for the first time some memory wire. I also found some wire snowflakes too and am going to make some decorations. I'd like to share some of this afternoons makes with you. I'd forgotten how addicted this is and I need some more beads already....
Hope this works!0
