Here's my take on it: however heavy you are you won't have an accurate picture of what is working for you unless you can monitor the change. I feel pretty much the same as I did this time a month ago but I'm 7lbs (ok, I think 6lbs7 oz, I actually do official weighs in kilos) lighter. If I were not monitoring I would be pretty dispondant.
If you have more than about a stone to lose it gets pretty depressing. If you're really heavy even a couple of stone can go unnoticed by those around you, and even yourself.
Weigh, see it as a number, not a ''judgement'' then concentrate just on acheiving the 7lb loss.0 -
Thanks for that, I'll keep my weight to myself at the moment though
. I'm a size 18 and would love to fit into a size 14 pair of jeans... that my goal so far! I'm only 19 and want to do this before I get much older and stuff!

That's fine, I keep mine to my self too. If nothing else I'm really aware that dieting can be emotionally difficult. I have a history of ''not great'' attidute to eating, and I know figures can make people a bit unhealhtily competitive, or, give a false idea of worth of a person....or indeed health.
I just want to be healthy again. I thnk I'll be lucky if I get to size 12, but I know really I want to lose more. I was VERY slim when I met DH, and he rightly tells me it didn't look good. Also, I want the wieght to be maintainable at a more evn level, not up and down. I guess I'd be content at a small 12 large 10, so still not fitting into old clothes, but riht now, a size 14 pair of jeans sounds like something I'd love too!;);)0 -
I'd like to join up too please. It is my birthday on the last day of January so 7lbs lighter before I'm a year older is the aim!0
