shhh! I had too merry a christmas day and now have a very hurty head... so bad I've taken 2 paracetamol to help get rid of my hurty head and they haven't worked. I told my dad that I *think* the bottles of rose wine must have been a little bit off (it had nothing to do with the quantity of wine drunk)!

had a look at the next online sale and didn't see much but I will be going to the store tomorrow to pick up some bits for a little pickle.

She stayed at mum and dad's last night and I can't believe how much I missed her! hope everyone feels better than me!!!!

Bunny, my flat's looking pretty good, I spent yesterday doing housework! (and eating and drinking, of course!).

Gah, what a faff for the Next sale, the grabbit board people were right, it's rubbish. Most of the stuff I wanted became sold out while I was shopping, then the order wouldn't go through, then I had to phone up to place it. Anyway, I've got two dresses and a top for £22 (the Tall sale has 70% off and that was pretty good), and he gave me free delivery, so not too bad overall.

Right, I'm going to make a pot of coffee and then curl up with my book. It's 450 pages long, I'm down to the last 80, and a storyline is only just beginning to emerge.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
  • Crawleygirl, I know this was ages ago but did you get your stuff back when your lodger took it all? I remember reading it on another board but never read an uupdate

Long story but I got most of the money for the items that were taken. Social Services paid for this. However, further investigations have shown that more things were taken! Grrrrrrrrrr! Hey ho, can't turn back the clock and I'm still standing! Thanks for asking :)

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

TA are very oversubscribed at the moment but a fab job if you can get in. Another route which is undersubscribed as we are always desperate at our college is learning support, this is helping adults (16+) with numeracy and literacy in the classroom, this often leads onto further training in British sign language, dyslexia awareness etc, etc. Downside it the starting wage (not much more than min wage) but it does get higher with further training...........just a thought Bunny.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Oooh just read back on yesterday's thread. Congratulations to your sister Linda and I hope you are feeling better today.

Lou - How is your MIL, is she over her shock?

My Dad (who is 88) fell over in the snow this week but he didn't tell us until yesterday. He hurt his arm and knee and luckily was wearing a hat which fell before him and his face landed in that, otherwise could have been a lot worse. Trouble is he couldn't get up and there was no one around to help him, so he had a bit of a struggle. My sister fell over twice in the snow as well!

I am so glad I got the snow grips for my shoes!
