Wow there are some really impressive designs being worked on ladies. Can I ask what you do with them when you've finished? Are they all on display in your house, gifts for friends/family, something else entirely?

How do you decide what your next project will be? I can understand if you are doing something requested by someone else or as a gift, but what about the ones you choose?

The more complicated designs, how did you decide you were ready (skills wise) to start one? I've done quite simple designs until now, the Baby Express one I'm doing is the complicated one I've attempted, but compared to some of the others being worked on here and what I've seen on the internet they are very simple. I wouldn't want to start a more complicated design and then spoil it or find its harder than I thought I leave it unfinished.

Sorry for the questions, I'm just thinking about my next project (although I won't be ready to start it for several months, i'd like to keep my eye for it).

    Thify,

I love all your works of art, there's such a variety of themes.:T

I'm also impressed by your Photobucket skills, I'm always worried that I'd share all my albums by mistake . I must have a go and get my sister to check it out before I go to the wider public ;);)

Sonme on display, some given as gifts but the majority (70+) are sitting pressed and flat in a box in my wardrobe :o

I just 'fall in love' :happyhear with certain designs and HAVE to buy them. I have at least my next 5 projects planned, if not more. :rotfl:

Tbh my most complicated ones are Heaven and Earth designs and I started on them after joining this group last year. I find having some encouragement and being able to share my progress helps a LOT in getting something completed.

Once you have your basic techniques in place, nothing is really 'hard'...it's just bigger/has more backstitching/more multiple basic techniques.

Sorry for the questions, I'm just thinking about my next project (although I won't be ready to start it for several months, i'd like to keep my eye for it).

Do you have your eye on anything yet or still waiting for that inspiration? :)

    Hi Ladies.

    Welcome newbies!

Not posted for a while and don't have an update pic this week as I haven't done a single stitch!

Went into London yesterday for hubbys birthday and my day was made when we saw the gorgeous fella in my avatar, James Toseland, in Kings Cross!

Mags. Love Max, he is going to look great when done.

thifty. Love your pics, especially the Robin.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

No idea yet. As I said earlier I've got a while before I'll be ready to start anything new (although I have just ordered a few thank you cards for my physios and MW, but they shouldn't take too long), but have no idea what sort of thing I want to attempt.

Please could you nudge me a recipe or its whereabouts for the brownies they sound yum.
It's a Hugh F-W recipe..have fun...cooked more beetroot yesterday so feel another batch is on it's way! BTW I use Tesco's value choc & Stork marg, and it is still fab!

Not been on MSE since last Week...so have loads of catching up to do. Not been feeling great lately, had a bit of a bug, giving me very itchy painful eyes, so computing and sewing have had to be abandoned for a few days .
Managed to get a bit of the Elegant Lady done though before I stopped, so will post piccies later. Louise, I just don't know how you managed to complete it so quickly!!!

Really must get organized with all the Xmas stitching I want to do, have loads of books and magazines to trawl through.

First though...have to take DS1 to the station, then do a bit of shopping...back later!

    PS Mags, Max looks brilliant!!:T:T
