Hi all,
Have been lurking and not posting again, so hugs to all who need them and congrats to all who want them.
I have been gifted a couple of Eva Rosenstand catalogues which also contain some nice charts. However it is not clear what brand of thread is being used - DMC, Anchor or something specific to the company. Does anyone have any bright ideas?
Also I am a very happy bunny cos my mum went charity shopping the other day and found me what appears to be a Sierra Frames Opus floor stand http://www.siestaframes.com/acatalog/Opus_Floor_Stand.html for £4! :j With a 24 inch frame included! I had been thinking about getting a floor stand, but couldn't really justify it at the moment, but here we are, right out of the blue!
Everyone's work is looking great and I do enjoy reading how things are going.
Big Zen hugs to all.

Do you recognise any of the numbers? I know that 310 is DMC's number for black, and 666 is one of their reds. If you could pick out a few numbers you could check them on the DMC and Anchor websites where they'll have lists of their numbers.
Congrats about the floor stand, I love a bargain plus the charity got something out of it too - a double whammy !

wow thats a good find. Months ago I found a big stash of materials and threads in a charity shop and managed to buy it all by persuading them to let me buy it over a few weeks - it was great some of it was even coloured but never found anything else since - always looking!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member No 2 :j

Hi everyone
Haven't done any cross stitch for ages, but bought WOXS to read Bubbles story and decided to do the Christmas stocking for my grand-daughter. However, I also have a grandson so will have to make one for him too, if anyone sees a pattern with Santa on in any of the magazines, could you let me know please.
Anyway, Bubbles, just wanted to say well done. Have you tried car boots for cheap threads ? I have bought loads from them and there are bound to be some boots tomorrow, so might be worth a lookYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Bubbles911 wrote: »Hi guys,
Im starting to feel a bit more better so hoping tomorrow I may be able to restart the back stitching on the treble clef. I have no idea what to do after that. Something that doesnt avoid blue as I have no blue threads at all. I buy the Kreinik and Mill Hill Beads for my next planned project in the Wimblebees sale but they cancelled the pattern and then my benefits got mixed up so I cant afford the threads and the pattern is double the price anywhere else which I still cant afford. I was really upset my Wimblebees. So now I have things I dont want sitting in a cupboard when I could be putting them to good use. grr and have no blues so struggle to make use of designs in the magazines.
What blues are you after - can we send you some? x0 -
Bubbles, I can post you a couple of generic (unbranded) blues that I have stashed from magazine covers if you would like me to.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0

Hi everyone,
I've just joined the MSE forum, so thought I would say hello. I've just started a black and white cross stitch of Roger Federer, I'll work on it while watching the US open.0
