Morning all
I did a stitch a photo of me n hubby on our wedding day -I just used one of the "stitch-a-photo" pre-paid envelopes, where you send it away and they sort it out and send you the chart back... I always worry about the cheaper ways of doing it -not that I have tried one mind
There is an awful lot of 1 of this and 2 of that -but thats the same with the heaven n earth designs :rotfl: ,
mum has done one of someones dog and a coupe of family ones from my wedding -the knack is to try and get a pick with as many colours in as possible-I think the programme uses 69 colours (well a set number anyway) -so when mum did the black n white dog on grass -she had loads of shades of each colour -but then with the wedding picks there were lot more colour variations -so it was "easier"
Right -back off to my sewing :T-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Afternoon Everyone - Thanks for everyones Replies - I am really happy with the design that I bought the colours that they use are so vibrant and Elliep I really agree with your comments and because of this it is such a joy to stitch
Well Its snowing here in South Wales so its definately a day to try and make a dent in the CStitch (even though I feel as if I am the slowest stitcher going!)

It's just this minute started snowing very lightly here. Been melting steadily all morning though. Am freezing today, so although I want to do some stitching, I daren't come out from my slanket!
Brrr! Am still looking for the baby sampler. It's not where I thought it was, but I'm sure I've seen it in the spare room fairly recently. Just need to find where I've put it.
Am very tempted to start one of my cut thru kits, but I *really* need to finish those trees for mum. It's 3 YEARS late now. Sorry mum!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Hi tdd111, Welcome. The more the merrier and it's never too late to join.
I'd ove to see a photo of your sitch a photo horse. I started a sitch a photo of my dog once but got so fed up by the one stitch of each colour, no 'sections' to do all in one colour that I gave up. It's the only project I've ever given up and made the decision never to go back to. And I'm usually pretty good at finishing my current project before starting the next. (you can see my current project, it's the santa a few posts up).
What is everyone elses experience of stitch a photo? My dog died recently and I would still love a cross stitch of him. Did I just have a useless charting programme? I bought it off ebay so I don't know what programme was used to create it.
i think u can choose how detailed the colour is on mine???????
haven't used it for ages!!!
once i've dug my xst out i might try to upload a pic altho i've never tried b4!!!!!!!0 -
Searching me -
Why not try making your own - I adapted this one from a magazine.
It was for my grandnephew in America. I even bought the frame and framed it myself. I already had the threads and material at home and it only took less an month to complete. Use plenty graph paper

The bear was from a copy of world of cross stitching.
Put it all together a totally original piece of work.
